What are we actually doing in training?!

Every corner is a waste of time  ... either too low or too high.

Most other set pieces are totally predictable.

Why are we not playing to the whistle ... the Bolton goal was almost a comic set up  ..... man goes down shot... FFC players look on in mesmerised stupidity .... Bolton kick the ball over the top .... joke !

We are still fiddling around at the back too much.

Why can't we cut back in the box?   I reckon we could have scored three today if AK /Sess / Freds had just cut back to another FFC player at the outer edges of the box.

Why are we so nervous in front of goal .... we have no steel.

We never leave a player up front.

Slav needs to work on positional play (or resign!)

It's hard to blame Slav, he didn't sign the players.

Corner after corner was a waste. We do lack a cutting edge and can't out muscle or out pace anyone. Dare I say we play the way we do, because that is all we can do. Think on.

Well whatever it is isn't standing us good stead so far this season.
Some observers may say, there is nothing much happening in training, which is reflected on the field of play.
There is certainly no evidence of practice drills for set pieces, or the variation of taking corners, or actually any sign of executing a simple corner.
Everything in open play seems repetative, as though there is no alternative plan if things are not going our way.
We don't seem to have mastered the basics well enough to give us a platform to enable us the best chances of scoring first, we always seem to be chasing the game.
But when we do take the lead, even when there are only a few minutes left, we seem incapable of defending our lead.
When we do score, when the opponent restarts the game, there is not enough effort or urgency to quickly gain possession again, which is one of the Ten Commandments.
Same as when we lose the ball in open play, the first duty is to win back the Ball asap, but our tempo is too slow a lot of the time.
All that is cause for concern.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

We need to build a replica of the Cottage corners complete with berm edges at Motspur Park. The uphill run seems to adversely affect our corners unlike all of the other teams we play at home.
