£1.13m-rated ace in, Taylor out: Johnson must field this Bristol City XI against Fulham tomorrow

Lee Johnson and Bristol City continue to impress this season, bouncing back perfectly from last weekend's defeat in the Sky Bet Championship to Leeds United, recording back-to-back victories in the Carabao Cup and the Championship over the last week.

Saturday's 2-1 victory at the Stadium of Light over Sunderland helped the Robins move back to fourth in the Championship table, with Johnson's side now looking for back-to-back victories on the road when they travel to London on Tuesday evening to face Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Here at FLW, we look at the starting XI Johnson might opt to field for Tuesday's clash, starting with Frank Fielding, who will be expected to continue in goal. Ahead of Fielding we could see a reshuffle, with Nathan Baker struggling with injury he picked up against Sunderland.

We are expecting to see Eros Pisano replace Baker in the back-four, with Bailey Wright moving to central defence to partner Aden Flint and Joe Bryan continuing at left-back. Ahead of those four, we could see an unchanged midfield selected by Johnson, with Jamie Paterson, Marlon Pack, Josh Brownhill and Callum O'Dowda lining up from left to right.

In attack, the impressive Bobby Reid is likely to continue, but alongside £1.13m-rated Milan Djuric, who has two goals in his last two appearances for the Robins, including the winner against Sunderland on Saturday.

Fulham v Bristol City
TUE, 31 Oct 2017 Championship
Venue: Craven Cottage

Milan Djuric could start for Bristol City after coming off the bench and scoring in his last two games

Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney will be assessed after his first start since August following knee trouble in the 1-1 draw with Bolton on Saturday.

Forwards Sheyi Ojo (shoulder) and Lucas Piazon (leg) are expected to return to training in December.

Bristol City will be without Famara Diedhiou and Jens Hegeler, who both have long-term knee injuries.

Milan Djuric is pushing for a start after scoring against Sunderland, but defender Nathan Baker is a doubt.

Match facts
Fulham have lost their last three home matches against Bristol City in all competitions, including two last season (once in the Championship, once in the League Cup).
The Robins' league trip to Craven Cottage last season was their biggest away Championship win of the season: a 4-0 victory.
Fulham have won just one of their last eight league matches at Craven Cottage and are on a run of 16 matches without a home clean sheet in the Championship, last keeping one in a win back in January 2017 against Barnsley.
Bristol City are unbeaten in their last six Championship away matches, winning each their last two (W3 D3). The last time they won three consecutive away league matches came back in February 2016 (also a run of 3).
No Championship player has scored more goals direct from a free-kick than Fulham's Stefan Johansen (2 - also Preston's Josh Harrop).

Same again for Fulham

Fulham look set to have an unchanged squad for the visit of Bristol City.

Only long-term absentees Sheyi Ojo and Lucas Piazon are unavailable to manager Slavisa Jokanovic.

On-loan Liverpool winger Ojo is still out following a dislocated shoulder and Chelsea loanee Piazon is recovering from a broken leg, with the duo due back in December.

Fit-again captain Tom Cairney marked his first start since August with Fulham's equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Bolton on Saturday.

Bristol City's Milan Djuric is pushing hard for a starting spot after scoring in his last two appearances from the bench.

Djuric, fit again after groin surgery, is breathing down the neck of forwards Jamie Paterson and Matty Taylor after striking against Crystal Palace and Sunderland.

Nathan Baker is a doubt after being forced off in the first half at Sunderland and his replacement, Eros Pisano, is standing by again.

Famara Diedhiou and Jens Hegeler are long-term injury victims.

Championship review: Another missed opportunity for "pathetic" Fulham offers further questions for Slavisa Jokanovic

The Cottagers find themselves with four wins from 14 games, and their Scottish midfielder Kevin McDonald is demanding more

Jokanovic wants more from his side in both penalty areas (Image: Paul Burgman)

Kevin McDonald pulled no punches.

Fulham, among the promotion favourites before a ball was kicked this season, lie 13th in the Championship, with just four wins after 14 matches.

Saturday's 1-1 draw with bottom side Bolton was more dropped points at home for the Cottagers who have drawn five of their seven home games.

Until deep into injury time it looked like they wouldn't even claim a share of the spoils; despite dominating the game and creating much the better chances, they still trailed to Sammy Ameobi's first-half effort.

Thankfully for the west London side, the recently-returned skipper Tom Cairney headed home a 94th minute equaliser, after an outstanding drive to the line and cross from McDonald himself, to at least give them something.

Not that it left ex-Wolves midfielder McDonald happy. Not by a long shot.

Tom Cairney's equaliser (Image: REX/Shutterstock)

"Their goal was pathetic, it was embarrassing to let one in like that – you can't do it," said McDonald.

"We're trying to get promoted and we're letting in goals like that. It's not acceptable and everyone of us realises that. I think performance-wise it wasn't the best – but we had so much possession and enough chances to win three games.

"It's another disappointing day at the Cottage and we've got to pick ourselves up massively for Tuesday against Bristol City here."

Cottagers boss Slavisa Jokanovic has echoed those sentiments: "At the end it isn't good enough for us, this performance is not good enough and if we compare the expectation around this time at the moment we are not performing in the level of this expectation.

""We must be relatively satisfied with the late goal but frustrated because we could win the game. We are not clinical enough or solid in both boxes."

And therein lies the problem. Fulham have been one of the Championship's great entertainers under Jokanovic, a side who play excellent football across much of the pitch.

They did so last season, culminating in a playoff run and the style of play hasn't changed. They work possession intelligently, keep the ball, and look to open up opponents with quick interchanges in the final third.

However, while the style may be the same, the output in both penalty boxes has flat-lined; something of an opposite Manchester City if you will.

Last term, the Cottagers scored 85 goals, conceding 57, giving themselves a goal difference bettered by only the top two; it was 30 better than playoff winners Huddersfield.

This season they've conceded 15 times in 14 games, but have scored just 18 - with only eight at home. Hardly clinical.

A fit-again Cairney is a massive plus (Image: Paul Burgman/Press-Photos.com)

McDonald offers balance in the centre of midfield (Image: 2017 Getty Images)

Getting Cairney, last season's top scorer, back at the heart of the action will undoubtedly help, the playmaker their best player, key to both creating and taking chances. When he, McDonald and Stefan Johansen work together as a midfield trio, they are among the league's best.

However, more is needed from 'AK47', the 22-year-old striker Aboubakar Kamara who has just two goals in 11 games thus far. He's made only four starts and the new look attack is yet to fully replace summer departures Chris Martin and Sone Aluko.

More likely to keep Jokanovic up at night is a defence that hasn't kept a clean sheet since August 15.

The centre-half duo of Tomas Kalas and Tim Ream was last season's first choice, while Ryan Fredericks similarly emerged at right-back and has again been impressive this term. The much-vaunted 17-year-old Ryan Sessegnon, largely used as a winger last year, has stepped back to full-back following Scott Malone's exit for Huddersfield.

As such, it isn't a problem with personnel; scouts have been flocking to see Sessegnon and few believe he's going anywhere other than the Premier League.

Kamara needs to give more goals (Image: 2017 Getty Images)

Sessegnon is tipped for the top (Image: 2017 Getty Images)

Thus, it is either to do with the balance of the side, or something to do with mentality - under Jokanovic, you'd reckon it isn't the latter.

They're still just four points off the playoff spots, and Jokanovic will expect the attacking players at his disposal to come good as the season progresses. The question for the ex-Watford boss is whether he tinkers, or waits.

In truth they don't look far off being a very good side and are close enough that they don't need to change bucketloads to be looked upon as contenders once more.

McDonald won't be happy until they are.

Loan Round-Up

In League One, Marek Rodák played 90 minutes for Rotherham United in their 3-1 home defeat to Gillingham.

The Millers' impressive run of five consecutive home wins was ended by the the Gills. Rotherham conceded early with Josh Parker scoring for Gillingham in the second minute.

Gillingham started the second half as strong as the first, scoring again in the second minute through Tom Eaves.

Rotherham pulled one back through Kieffer Moore, but with Joe Mattock being sent off in the 85th minute through a second yellow, Gillingham sealed the win a minute later through Parker again.

Rotherham are within the play-off spots by one point and Gillingham are still in the relegation zone.

On Monday evening, Ragnar Sigurdsson played 90 minutes in the Russian Premier League in a 2-1 defeat to UFA whilst playing for Rubin Kazan. Kazan drop to 10th in the league, six points off the European spots.

Back in The English Championship, Cauley Woodrow was an unused substitute when Bristol City beat Sunderland away 2-1. Bristol's next match is against Fulham at Craven Cottage and they sit fourth in the table.

Injured Baker is 50/50 for Fulham clash

City defender Nathan Baker remains an injury doubt for Tuesday night's trip to Craven Cottage.

The big defender returned from a knee injury to start in Saturday's 2-1 victory at Sunderland, only to suffer a recurrence midway through the first half to force his substitution.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, assistant head coach Jamie McAllister reported: "He's probably 50/50 at this stage.

"He just hurt his knee again during a challenge  and we hope it's not too bad, but we'll just have assess it before tomorrow."

City flew to and from the North East, allowing the players optimum preparation for their visit to Craven Cottage tomorrow night.

McAllister said: "There can be no excuses at all. The plane had us back in Bristol by 8pm on Saturday, allowing the players to rest and recover properly.

"It's important that we do these things, the little one per cents, it all adds up."

Jokanović: Raise Our Level

Slaviša Jokanović knows Fulham need to up their game when Bristol City visit Craven Cottage on Tuesday night.

A late Tom Cairney header was needed to salvage a point against 24th-place Bolton Wanderers at the weekend, and the Whites Head Coach admitted the performance wasn't good enough.

"It's normal to be disappointed when you don't beat the bottom team in the division," he told fulhamfc.com. "You expect to win those types of games.

"We made this difficult for ourselves and made it more complicated than it needed to be. They scored the goal and we were affected by this. We didn't move with enough quality and we did not create enough good situations.

"With regards to numbers we probably deserved to win the game. We had many shots, many entrances into the box, many crosses.

"We missed these chances and at the end we saved the game and were not beaten and secured a point.

"We can't be satisfied but this is reality and we have to look forward and find solutions. At the moment we are not doing enough. We all need to be available to work hard and find solutions in training and out there on the pitch."

With the match goalless, Floyd Ayité finished coolly after being sent in one-on-one by Cairney, but the linesman flagged for offside.

The decision was met with bewilderment by the home fans, even more so when replays showed that not even Fulham's most advanced player Ryan Fredericks was beyond the last defender.

"We scored a legal goal that was not allowed but we had plenty of time to make up for that," Jokanović stated.

"It's 100 per cent if we had been awarded that goal we would have been more comfortable. It was a big mistake. Freddo was not even offside and Ayité who scored the goal is not offside either.

"I can understand that mistakes like this happen in the game but it was in a very important moment for us.

"We were gaining confidence at the time and immediately we made things even more complicated for ourselves when we were not active for that moment of their goal.

"Our players interpreted that the referee was going to stop the game when one Bolton player was down on the field.

"It was not acceptable and we can't make mistakes like this. The goal not being awarded to us damaged us somewhat but we can't look back, only forward."

Bristol City make the journey to the capital having enjoyed a fantastic start to the season, which has seen them rewarded with a current Play-Off place.

"They will be aggressive and they will arrive in good form," Jokanović said when asked what we can expect from the Robins.

"They will arrive full of confidence and they will try to find a way to get chances by pressing our build-up and press us also when we lose possession.

"They will wait for set-pieces. In Aden Flint and Milan Djuric they have two players who are both over two metres tall. We expect a tough and physical situation and we have to be ready.

"We must concentrate. We have not suffered very much from set-pieces this season. We have done very well with dealing with them. We conceded one goal against John Terry but we don't suffer like we used to one year ago.

"We must show a reaction after the Bolton game. We know we weren't at a good enough level. We have not had good enough results at home, especially with what people have expected from us.

"We have to work hard to make our supporters more satisfied. After Bolton we have an obligation to raise our level to the best it can be."

Tickets for Tuesday's game are still available to purchase on General Sale, priced from just £20 adults and £10 juniors when bought before matchday.

Let's continue good run at Craven Cottage - Reid

City's top scorer Bobby Reid could enter double figures in the trip to Fulham on Tuesday night.

And the forward believes City's good form at in West London, along with more than 1,600 away fans, can spur the side on to another victory.

Reid was on the scoresheet the last time the teams met in London. City thumped Fulham 4-0 to record their third consecutive win at Craven Cottage.

City head into another away tie after winning their hard-fought battle against Sunderland by two goals to one at the Stadium of Light.

As for Fulham, they salvaged a point against Bolton Wanderers in their last match thanks to a last-gasp Tom Cairney header.

Reid, who is the Sky Bet Championship's joint-top scorer, told BCTV: "We know the Championship is a bit crazy like that.

"You're going to get teams that want to play football and sides that are going to be physical, so we knew what kind of game to expect.

"We knew we had to be busy and quick and that we could cause them problems. It was a different game for us and we coped with it well.

"When we brought on Milan (Djuric) it changed the game again for us again and we could secure the ball up top and move up the pitch quicker."

Reid could score his tenth goal in all competitions on Tuesday night, after heading in his ninth of the season in the Sunderland victory.

He added: "Not necessarily. I'm usually on the keeper but Tayls (Matty Taylor) was on the keeper, so I was in the pack attacking the ball. I was at the back stick and the ball was near me so I thought I would just go for it.

"It's been different for me [moving from midfield to striker] but now I feel like it is natural. I really enjoy it now and I just want to kick on.

"Craven Cottage is a nice stadium, it's a nice place to play. It's not intimidating and the lads will go there wanting three points. We've done well when we've played there and hopefully we can continue that good run."

On the travelling fans, he added: "They make a massive difference. Sunderland was different because they were up in the skies but against Fulham they will be right behind and we will hear them and it does spur us on to do well."

Woodrow admits he faces uncertain future

Cauley Woodrow has admitted his time with Fulham has been full of frustration and a lack of opportunities – and might be at an end.

The striker, who played for the Whites in the Premier League in 2014, looked set for a great career at Craven Cottage, but has been sent out on loan to Southend and Burton Albion since then, and is now on loan at Championship rivals Bristol City until the end of the season.

He will be out of contract next summer – four years after his debut for the Cottagers, during which time he has made only 54 appearances, scoring eight times.

"I'm open-minded about the future," Woodrow told West London Sport.

"I'm focused now on Bristol City and what will be, will be, at the end of the season.

"I'm still contracted to Fulham until the end of the season, but if I could stay here [in Bristol] and that was an option, then I'd obviously look into that.

"I'm not sure if I'll be at Fulham next season. I've not had any contact with anyone at the club.

"I speak to a few of the lads, but none of the staff. I don't really know whether anyone's coming to watch me. No-one's told me of anyone coming down."

He added: "I haven't really been given an opportunity at Fulham since I started playing, and haven't played regularly in games.

"I've played one game, or come off the bench, and I feel I've never really been given an opportunity in a long run of games."

Woodrow has also found it hard to make an early impression at Ashton Gate.

Competition for a starting place is stiff and he made only his sixth appearance in last Saturday's home defeat by Leeds United.

"It hasn't been easy," he said. "I've only had two starts so far and there's a lot of competition for places.

"But I feel good about my form. I've scored a goal in one of my starts and can't do much more.

"I just want to play as many games as I can, score some goals and we'll see what the future holds.

"I'm not really thinking too much about a year's time or whatever. I'm just focusing on now and if I keep doing well, it'll put me in a good position at the end of the season.

"I made my debut quite young, so people think I've been around a long while, but really I haven't at all.

"I'm still only 22 and learning my trade and hopefully it will work out well."

Ex-Fulham man Danny Murphy blasts England's behaviour after U17 stars lift World Cup

Several of the side turned their shirts round to display their surnames and the former Fulham man wasn't happy with the action

Ex- Fulham man Danny Muprhy has blasted England U17s behaviour after winning the U17 World Cup, branding it "wrong" that some players turned their shirts round to display their names.

England came back from two goals down to beat Spain 5-2, with Fulham's very own Steven Sessegnon providing two assists in the final as well as clearing off the line.

The young star had a good tournament, claiming a place in the final group game against Iran and subsequently starting in every game therein, reminding everyone just how good the Sessegnon twins are.

However, Murphy, whose goal at Portsmouth in 2008 completed the Great Escape, has created debate on the scenes after the game, where some members of the side turned their shirts round to display their names instead of the England badge on the front.

Speaking on talkSPORT , Murphy said: "There's no England badge in the picture of them winning the World Cup – for me, that's wrong.

"They've all turned their shirts around because they want their names across their chests, so everybody across the world can see who they are.

(Image: Jan Kruger - FIFA/FIFA via Getty Images)

They can do it: Danny Murphy (Image: John Peters/GettyImages)

"They're all saying, 'I'm a good young player coming through, look at me', but that in itself is what is wrong with society.

"In effect, they're thinking about fame as well as being a footballer and I think it creates a big debate here.

"I thought the way they played was amazing and the way they've been coached has been fantastic and Steve Cooper deserves great credit.

"Some of those players could go on to be superstars. We're talking some amazing talent in that group and the freedom they played with, everybody should be happy to see that in an England shirt, and I am too, I was proud of them.

"But the England badge not being in that picture says a lot.

"The fact they want their names to be on the front of their shirts and think about getting their name out there so people know who they are – they are not wrong, but it's what is wrong at the moment."

'They're blunt going forward', 'It's the absence of Cairney' – Just why are Fulham struggling so much this season?

Having made it to the play-offs last season, many pundits and fans alike thought Fulham would at least match that this campaign.

However, even though the Cottagers have lost fewer games than the league leaders, they sit 13th in the table, with far too many draws.

They dropped more unexpected points on Saturday when they needed a late, late equaliser to get a 1-1 with lowly Bolton.

Slavisa Jokanovic's men played some superb football last season and were a joy to watch, but for one reason or another it hasn't clicked during the opening part of this season.

So, what has gone wrong at Fulham?

We take a look...

George Dagless

They've lost their edge.

Last season Fulham were arguably the best side going forward in the division and it was only their defending that let them down.

This year, they look a bit tighter at the back but they are now blunt going forward – hence a sheer number of draws – and so that is where Jokanovic needs to improve things.

Tom Cairney's return is going to be very welcome.

Alfie Burns

For me, it has been the absence of Tom Cairney.

It is sometimes hard to forget the impact the midfielder has at Craven Cottage, with his ability to score and create making him one of the best in the Championship.

Cairney has struggled with injury early in the season, and is not yet at 100%, but when he regains his top form and fitness, Fulham's results will improve.

Sam Rourke

It's just not going right for Fulham this season, and they seem to still be reeling from last season's play-off semi-final defeat to Reading.

Losing Sone Aluko was a big blow for Jokanovic's side in the summer, and you get the impression Jokanovic is still trying to find the right balance and formula.

They lack a clear, out-and-out striker, and Fulham must utilise the January transfer window to help strengthen their side.

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic demands response against Bristol City after Bolton draw

Response: Jokoanovic has called for a reaction after Saturday's draw with bottom side Bolton Getty Images

Slavisa Jokanovic has demanded a reaction from his Fulham players against Bristol City on Tuesday after their disappointing 1-1 draw with bottom side Bolton.

Fulham were among the favourites for promotion from the Championship before the start of the season but they sit 13th and Jokanovic knows results need to pick up.

The Fulham boss said: "We must show a reaction to the Bolton game. We were not at a good enough level. After Bolton we have an obligation to raise our level to the best it can be.

"It is normal to be disappointed when you do not beat the bottom team in the division. You expect to win those types of games. We have not had good enough results at home, especially with what people have expected from us."

Kevin McDonald backs Fulham's misfiring strikers to come good ahead of Bristol City test

The side are struggling for goals at the moment but the Fulham vice captain has backed the forwards to come good this season

Kevin McDonald has backed Fulham's misfiring forwards to come good ahead of tonight's game with Bristol City.

Aboubakar Kamara and Rui Fonte, who were signed in the summer, have scored just the three goals between them while Fulham's other forwards are struggling to hit the back of the net also.

That blank streak in front of goal continued on Saturday as Fulham rescued a result against bottom of the league Bolton, courtesy of a header from skipper Tom Cairney .

It's frustrating for everyone, but McDonald says there's no one more frustrated than those in the Fulham dressing room and backs their strikers to come good.

"I think we're hitting the targets and stuff, no taking anything away from Bolton on Saturday but the goalie had a great game and two of the centre halves have blocked ten balls - they're throwing themselves on the line," he said.

"That's what we have to do as well when we're defending, but the forward like will come good, I thought Aboubakar (Kamara) came back and did well today and Floyd (Ayite) always gives you something a bit different.

"They'll come good, it's just a frustrating time and no one is more frustrated than the boys in the dressing room."

Switched On

When asked to sum up Fulham's season so far, Ryan Fredericks' response is immediate.

"Frustrating, very frustrating," he tells Tuesday's official matchday programme. "We haven't built up much momentum. We've been playing well enough and we've been creating more opportunities than every other team we've played against. The platform is there to win each game, but we're not taking our chances and lapses of concentration have cost us.

"We know we're good enough to be higher up the table and I'm sure we will be, it's just about rectifying these small mistakes.

"We've just got to relax and carry on playing the stuff we're playing. It isn't a time to panic, we're playing good stuff, it's just about converting the chances that come our way. We need to stay switched on, our performances will level out and I'm sure they'll turn into points."

Big Match Preview: Fulham

After suffering heartache in the Sky Bet Championship play-offs last season, Fulham currently sit four points off the top six in 13th, without a win in their last three outings.

Meanwhile, with just two losses this campaign, City occupy fourth spot in the division, and will hope to continue their impressive start by securing their fourth consecutive win in West London.

Here's a closer look at tonight's opponents.

HOW DID THEY GET HERE?

Having been relegated from the Premier League in 2013/14 after 13 consecutive seasons in the top flight, Fulham – the oldest-established football team from London to have played in the Premier League - are now a well-recognised outfit within the Championship.

Last season they mathematically secured a place in the play-offs by beating fellow promotion hopefuls Sheffield Wednesday on the final day of the season, but lost in the semi-finals to Reading.

This term, the Cottagers have won just one of their last eight league matches at Craven Cottage and are on a run of 16 matches without a home clean sheet in the Championship, last keeping a shutout in a win back in January against Barnsley.

Fulham will hope to return to winning ways this evening and edge closer to the top six, but will come up against a City side who have won on each of their last three visits to West London.

MEET THE GAFFER

After relieving Kit Symons of his duties at the Cottage, Fulham went over 50 days without a head coach, before striking a deal with with Slavisa Jokanovic.

Jokanovic began his managerial career in 2007, winning two consecutive doubles with Partizan, before leading Watford to the Premier League.

Contract talks then broke down at Vicarage Road so the former Chelsea player took charge of the Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he guided them into the Champions League group stage for the first time in their history.

His return to English football then came just six months later after the Cottagers agreed compensation for Jokanovic.

Since becoming the Fulham boss in 2015, Jokanovic has a 40.4% win percentage, and after the club's 2-0 win at Ashton Gate in February, his contract was extended with the West London outfit until 2019.
Tom Cairney races forward for the Cottagers
STAR MAN – Tom Cairney

The fit-again captain marked his first start since August with Fulham's dramatic equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Bolton on Saturday.

Cairney has endured a frustrating start to the campaign, having already missed two months of action due to a knee injury, but is determined to now help the Cottagers reach the top flight after last season's play-off disappointment.

The midfielder was influential in the last campaign and was subsequently named the EFL player of the year and made the PFA Championship Team of the Year.

Such performances led to Newcastle bidding £20million for his services in the summer, but Fulham rejected the offer and Cairney penned a contract extension until 2021.

His ability to retain possession, pick out a pass, and his vision for shooting from all areas of the pitch makes him a real handful, and Lee Johnson's side will be well aware of how to frustrate the 26-year-old this evening.

MEMORABLE MEETING 2015/16

Fulham 1-2 Bristol City

Goals: McCormack 3, Pack 69, Tomlin 90.

City fought back from 1-0 down to earn a crucial victory at fellow Championship strugglers Fulham.

After Joe Bryan was denied by Andrew Longergan in the opening Ross McCormack demonstrated his masterclass when he dispatched quite a brilliant lob, sending a shot sailing over Richard O'Donnell to give Fulham a third-minute lead.

But Marlon Pack levelled midway through the second half when he picked out the bottom corner with a precise low shot, before Lee Tomlin sent the near 4,000 strong City supporters into raptures with his 90th minute free kick.

The defeat left Fulham just one point above the relegation zone, while City side moved four points ahead of third from bottom Rotherham, bolstering the survival prospects for Lee Johnson's side.

Fulham: Lonergan, Madl, Burn, Amorebieta, Fredericks, Cairney, Parker (O'Haraat 80), Tunnicliffe, Garbutt (Reamat 77), McCormack, Dembele (Woodrow 85).

City: O'Donnell, Matthews (Ayling 90), Flint, Baker, Golbourne, Freeman (Reidat 45), Pack, Bryan, Tomlin, Wilbraham, Kodjia (Odemwingie 45).

Fulham backed for draw with Bristol City by Sky Sports pundit despite sketchy home form

The Sky Sports pundit is finding it difficult to split the two sides despite Fulham's poor home form this season

Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has backed Fulham to get themselves a 1-1 draw with Bristol this evening, but has described Craven Cottage as a "tough place to go" despite poor form.

The Cottagers have only got themselves one win at home so far this season, a 2-1 victory over Hull, and have found the going tough at home so far, drawing five games by the River this season.

Late goals conceded against Cardiff and Middlesbrough meant three points were sacrificed into one, while final minutes goals scored against Preston and Bolton salvaged a point.

And ahead of the game tonight, Prutton is struggling to split the two tonight.

In his Sky Sports column, he said: "What a run of form Bristol City are on at the moment! They may have suffered that defeat against Leeds but bounced back superbly with another couple of big wins on the spin.

"Fulham are a strange one this season. Every time you think they're about to build up a head of steam they suffer another poor result that takes them back to square one.

"But Craven Cottage is still a tough place to go and I can't split these two right now."

Fulham manager Slaviša Jokanović fears Bristol City's aerial threats

The Robins travel to Craven Cottage tonight

Fulham manager Slaviša Jokanović has singled out the threat Bristol City's Aden Flint and Milan Djuric pose to his side ahead of their meeting at Craven Cottage tonight in the Championship.

City have scored the most set piece goals in the division so far this season which has helped them climb to fourth in the table going into the game and the Cottagers' manager is under no illusion of the threat the Robins offer.

Just two teams in the Championship have scored more goals than City this season in the league, Wolves and Hull, and no one has scored more in the Carabao Cup and Championship combined.

That's all the more impressive when you consider the Robins have beaten three Premier League sides on their way to the cup quarter-finals where they will meet Manchester United at Ashton Gate.

Talking to the club website, www.fulhamfc.com , Jokanović said: "They will be aggressive and they will arrive in good form.

Jokanović may have been a little off with his measurements, Flint comes in at 1.97cm and Djuric is 1.99cm, but his point is well founded.

He continued: "We must concentrate. We have not suffered very much from set-pieces this season. We have done very well with dealing with them. We conceded one goal against John Terry but we don't suffer like we used to one year ago.

"We must show a reaction after the Bolton game," said Jokanović after drawing 1-1 at home to the team at the foot of the table - and even that took a header from Tom Cairney four minutes into stoppage time.

"We know we weren't at a good enough level. We have not had good enough results at home, especially with what people have expected from us.

"We have to work hard to make our supporters more satisfied. After Bolton we have an obligation to raise our level to the best it can be."
