Always nice to see any ex Fulham player doing well but a "legend" is overstating his time at Fulham.

Woolly Mammoth

Sir Craven of Cottage, now that's what I call a Legend.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Never forget your Roots.

No? 254 appearances 54 goals, what do you have to do to be a legend? Be Erik Nevland?

Ivor 247 games 114 goals.

Brian McBride 140 apps 32 gls and he has got a bar named after him!!!!!
I would go for Ivor any day as a legend, should he have a bar named after him.
Ahh for the good old days.

Should be noted that in a lot of his FFC games he played out wide, not as a striker.  Crowd really disliked him, which was odd as he was one of the few players with any skill in one of the worst Fulham teams of all time.

His stats may be decent but I will never remember him as a "legend".

Sinjun

I must admit my post was somewhat tongue in cheek.
The label "legend " is so frequently used I was just wondering what the criteria is to have the word legend attributed to a player, past or present.

Ronnie Rooke, Johnny Haynes, Alan Mullery, to name three legends for me

:plus one:

Bit lightweight.  To be fair, that is standard job spec for most of our strikers.

Sir Alec of good Stock

I remember the news that his contract had been extended was released on the same day that we lost 1-0 in the FA Cup to Yeovil, who were then a non league team. Somehow it summed up the club at the time.

In addition to those already mentioned;
George Cohen, Bedford Jezzard, Tony Macedo, Jim Langley, Alan Mullery, Graham Leggat all from my early days,
Jimmy Hill player and important in the club's history,
Les Barrett and Jimmy Conway who played so well together,
Gordon Davies, Tony Gale, Ray Lewington in the 80's
Micky Adams, Simon Morgan, Chris Coleman who all played and were also involved in the club's management,
Mark Shwarzer but you could go for Maik Taylor or Edwin van der Sar,
Lots of candidates from the turn of the millennium but I loved the characters; Rufus, Bazzer, Steed, Luis Bo, Danny Murphy etc.

Apologies to those I have omitted.  What great memories over more than 50 years.  I feel very privileged to have supported the Whites.

Brazil really divided opinions, and was the subject of many exchanges both on the terraces and in Toofif.
Although skillfull, having a good right foot, and a reasonable football brain, to me when played as a central striker he was pretty ineffective.
He was far too lightweight and lacked the pace that you would have expected from someone of his build.
Does that remind you of anyone in the current set up??
