Slavisa Jokanovic unsure whether Burton or Fulham need the points more today

The pressure is on Burton, but so too at Fulham, says the boss

Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic is expecting a "long game" against Burton Albion today.

The Brewers travel to Craven Cottage in the Championship relegation zone, but they have won their last three league games on the road - against Bolton Wanderers, Reading and Sheffield Wednesday.

However, the Whites are in resurgent form, unbeaten in their last five, and just one point off the play-off places.

So who needs the points more?

Jokanovic said: "Their situation is clear, they need the points, but I don't know who needs the points more? Them or my team? I'm sure they're under pressure, but we're under pressure too."

And the Serbian boss knows his team may have to be patient against Nigel Clough's men.

He added: "Nigel Clough has done a fantastic job with this team, they have a fantastic record in away games. Six clean sheets in 13 games I think, it's an interesting statistic. Any club in the Championship playing at home doesn't find it easy [against them]. I think they have lost 5-0 and 4-1, but every other game is close.

"For us, like all the Championship games, it's going to be tough. We lost in September against them, I remember last season we saved one point at home against them in the 96th minute, they are in a relegation battle, but we have enough experience of the Championship to know it's not going to be easy for us.

"Two different styles, we expect a long game, they will be happy to wait for their chance, we must play with passion and wait for our chance. This game will be long, but we must be focused, concentrated and try not to make mistakes to complicate our life."

If Fulham sign these 2 players on loan this month, they can get promoted

Fulham are beginning to creep up on those play-offs now and fans will remember exactly what happened when they did that last season.

Of course, though, they'll be hoping that if and when they qualify for the top six this season they'll be able to go all the way to Wembley and win instead of going out at the semi-final stage.

For sure, then, hope is beginning to grow around the Craven Cottage side once again and Slavisa Jokanovic will be looking to get himself some new faces before the end of the window to help bolster that with just over a week to go before Deadline Day.

With that in mind, then, we're taking a look at two loan signings the club should try to seal in order to achieve promotion this year...

Oumar Niasse

Niasse has shown that he is a decent player after being in exile at Everton.

He's perhaps not good enough for them, in all honesty, though and would benefit from a loan spell where he's going to play more.

He could certainly lead the line for Fulham and with them needing more goals perhaps he would be the ideal punt for a loan deal.

Lazar Markovic

Fulham earned their top six spot last season thanks to great attacking play.

We've perhaps not seen that as much this year, though, and so maybe they want to add some more spark to their side before the window shuts.

Lazar Markovic is a man who could add just that with him not getting close to a look in at Liverpool at the moment.

Fulham v Burton Albion LIVE - Brewers head to Craven Cottage looking for fourth consecutive Championship away win

Albion new-boy Martin Samuelsen could make his debut today at Craven Cottage

Burton Albion take on Fulham at Craven Cottage today (3pm) with the Brewers looking for a fourth straight away win in Nigel Clough's 100th league game as Albion boss.

It feels like an eternity since Clough's side were last on the road in the Championship, with the 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday on New Year's Day arguably their best performance in the league to date.

They'll be hoping to emulate that performance today and follow up last week's 3-1 loss to QPR at the Pirelli Stadium with a return to winning ways.

Martin Samuelsen could make his debut after he signed on loan until the end of the season earlier this week.
