was at the game today. I spoke to him briefly, just asked  how's the injury and he said getting better slowly. Not exactly David Frost and Richard Nixon but it was good to see him.
The world is made up of electrons, protons, neurons, possibly muons and, definitely, morons.

Robbie

Wish Tom all the best and a speedy recovery. He needs to make sure he is really fixed before playing again.

Jimsbeerbelly

Has flown out again recently to have rehab, posted picture on Instagram, got back today in time to watch the game with his GF.

Luka

Wish TC a quick recovery.
He's the best we have when fit but Norwood is knocking and Slav will let him in.
If someone bids £25m in the summer then unless TC is seriously wanting to stay he's outa here!

I went to Reading away on Saturday 12th August, the game where Cairney hobbled off during the pre match warm up, that's basically 6 months that he's been injured , 6 months and as far as I know his problem still hasn't been properly diagnosed,  how can that be ?
Has he been under the knife yet ? If not why not ?
Time to get to the bottom of it , let's kick on now without him, get him sorted out and get him back fully fit for the play-offs in May,
Every week at Jokanovic's press conference Cairney is going to be back "next week" and yet "next week" never seems to come,
Very frustrating for Tom, very frustrating for Jokanovic and very frustrating for all us supporters, were 5th without Tom, imagine where we could be if we got him back fully fit !

I agree ,how medical staff can't diagnose a condition with modern science and technology is a mystery,it's just as well we have Ollie who is doing a good job if not as good as TC ,but very happy with Ollie and if true can see why club tried to make him a permanent addition in the window.

Be careful, all this questioning of Tom's injury, some folk wil start seeing this as a witch hunt

Can you please enlighten on "as far as I know" personally I have not seen/heard anything relating to not knowing what the problem is, but maybe you have, or is it just an assumption?
Story of my life
"I was looking back to see if she was looking back to see if i was looking back at her"
Sadly she wasn't

It's always best to assume that you know better than any of the experts, particularly in regard to complex medical matters. Obviously nobody at the club is remotely interested in Cairney's recovery and he is being dealt with by charlatans and incompetents (all probably West Ham supporters).  092.gif

No matter how good medicine and science is, human beings are not products of conveyor-belt technology with good as new part replacement spares available off the shelf.  Not only are human bodies brilliantly clever designs they are all unique, with their own particular strengths and weaknesses.  I have no idea how commonplace TC's 'injury' is, or how, for example, his own natural gait and development have impacted and are impacting upon it.  I am sure he is getting care above and beyond the 'norm' and I am guessing that patient rehabilitation will get him back to an optimum level or condition allowing for the nature of the problem.  I would imagine the concern is not to worsen his condition or the impact of whatever damage there is or may be threatening in getting him back to a level of fitness where he can play football without feeling unmanageable discomfort.

Not ideal for TC or FFC but that is the way things sometimes happen.

Agreed and especially given his importance to the team, I would rather we were patient than rush him back and threaten his career.

He has been going to Spain, not because it's cheap but that's where the best knee specialist is in the world. The worry is I don't think it's getting better with rest. He seemed to be feeling best after playing. I'm not going to second guess the professionals but people on here doubting their expertise or the club's intentions are idiots.

sarnian

Don't know how true it is but heard at the game yesterday that Cairney has physiological problems over the lack of progress with his knee. Receiving treatment for both.

Just hope we see him soon as he can unlock doors others can't

Eh? Would it not be true to say that all bodily injuries (unless imaginary) and their treatment are physiological in nature?

Did he mean 'psychological'?

Don't think I've ever seen anybody do that, have you ?

Has he tried rubbing a nice lump of mature Cheddar on it I wonder?  Might be worth a try.

That's possible I suppose. Might that not then be a fancy way of saying that he is worried about his injury? Which I am sure he is.
