Did ok ? Did nothing !
He looked keen, shame he is out of his depth in this league and can you imagine him playing in the PL (LOL)?

As has been observed before, he is clearly keen and seems a real team player. Shame he is totally ineffective.

I wonder if we will be able to sell him in the Summer, if we do it will be at a huge financial loss. More than likely be sent out on loan (abroad) and sink into oblivion.

Well played?? He was borderline embarrassing when he came on, he has the strength of a new born lamb! Look, I really love his passion for the cause which is plain to see when he joins in with celebrations, but he offers nothing and I don't understand what a few fans are seeing when they try to defend him

Were you watching the same game? I was right in front of him when he came on, thought he played miles better than piazon. Showed aggression and pressure when the rest of the team wasn't. Injected the energy we needed when we looked like we could be in trouble.

Genuine point here. I wonder, should we get there, if he would be more effective in the premier league. Slower paced and less physical then the championship. I'm not saying he's going to be a world beater, just a good addition. I for one really appreciated his effort last night and love his passion and attitude when he plays. One of the first to celebrate with whoever scores. Was signed for a lot of money and reduced to a bit part and not one hint of a silk or strop even though he was arguably (other than mitrovic) the signing with the most pedigree this year.

I suggested the same thing last night, in relation to Fonte and Piazon.

OK so the suggestion is that we build a team for the prem around our weakest players.  Sounds like a plan.

As regards piazon I think he mucks up our style of play by continually drifting into the middle, he did it last night from both flanks, this stops the full backs from bombing on as they have no cover. No surprise that when ak came on Fred started to raid at will. When teams clog the middle we do not need a wide man to continually drift in. To me shows how much we miss Floyd.
Watching the ups and downs since 1958, wouldn't have it any other way, what a roller coaster of a club.

Premier League, less physical and slower pace than the Championship!
You're having a laugh!

The challenges may be less agricultural in the PL but really?   064.gif

Well you can deliberately misconstrue if that pleases you.

@jolslover

I like Fontes passion, Could be easy for him to sulk with Mitro coming in but he looks more enthusiastic than anyone. Huge credit even if hes slightly dissapointed on the pitch.

He is definitely passionate and a team player - seems pretty popular with the others

However he is ineffective and doesn't contribute very much - I can't remember one positive thing he did last night -

Piazon is a far better player ..... but then again Ayite and Kebano are more dynamic - we need Kebano for the playoffs

Perhaps we could offer a swap deal with Mitro might be the kind of player Rafas looking for if he doesn't like Mitro
