I´d love to see Lewis Holtby back at the Cottage ... at his time hera he was very passionate for the club and the fans :)
But he will stay at the relegated HSV :(

Good shout. My only concern would be was how influential was he at HSV? But I too enjoyed the way he played.

Let's bring back Jim Stannard and be done with it then...
We've got to move forward now not backwards... Coyw

For me the "problem" is the different kind of football we have to play next season ....
There will be more and more of defending football from our team an allot of counter attacks
we need pacy winger and striker (for me Mitro isn`t that kind of player)

Mitro holds the ball up and we need that. My only concern is how many goals he'll get, he's not an amazing finisher as many of the goals weren't from powerful shots. He'll need to improve his shooting technique a bit to beat the likes of De Gea and Ederson, etc.

It's the holding play and knocking it down to Sess and our midfielders that Mitro is invaluable for.

Not necessarily just scoring goals imo.
Siblings, let us not be down on it.
One total catastrophe like this...is just the beginning !

:plus one:
And his defending from the front, and  at the back in the air for corners, and general commitment and will to win, and strength - defenders are scared of him, they can't bully him, and this sets a tone for the rest of the team.

That being said I would take back the two Dembeles.

I heard Bryan Ruiz is available on a free...

As long as he brings his hair.

Between him and Cairney the other midfields in the PL would just be transfixed by the hair.

Perhaps we should sign Jedward then.

Targett and mitrovic ✅
Interest in Gönul - concerns about age.
Watch out for movement from Napoli (Elsad Hysaj)
Interest Badelj and Delaney but moves to bigger clubs may suit.

I'm half convinced Mitro will stay but surely won't happen until after the World Cup.

I guess if it is true, Hysaj would be a good pickup, and either of Delaney and Badelj would also be good along with Targett and Mitro.

I doubt the veracity of these rumors though. I don't see how we could sign Hysaj or Badelj, Hysaj is a starter at Napoli, and Badelj has a host of clubs with European football chasing after him.

Agent Responds To Reports That Fulham Have Made €4.5m Bid For Turkey International

Fulham were closely linked with a move for Besiktas full-back Gokhan Gonul in the Turkish media yesterday.

Takvim reported that the Cottagers put forward a €4.5 million bid for the Turkey international.

Per the source, Besiktas were considering the offer but had yet to respond to Fulham.

Turkish-Football spoke to Gonul's agent Ahmet Bulut regarding the latest reports.

It turns out that there is no truth to the rumors.

Bulut has not been contacted by Fulham or informed by Besiktas about an approach for his client.

The full-back would have been the second Turkey international to join the Premier League from Besiktas inside a season from Besiktas, joining Cenk Tosun, if he were to make the move.

Gonul has another two-years remaining on his contract and is happy in Istanbul.

The Black Eagles are keen on keeping the 33-year-old right-back on over the summer despite rumors that they are nearing a deal with Porto full-back Daniel Opare.

Besiktas finished the league campaign in fourth-place after lifting the league title for the previous two seasons.

The Eagles cruised through the Champions League group stage as undefeated leaders but were unable to defender the title this season.

Good, it seemed like an awful lot to pay for a 33 year old that has never left Turkey.

Not sure why we need to spend money on this position when we bought Christie to be our number 1 right back not so long ago.  Christie to start with Sess's brother as backup for now.  Lets move on and spend elsewhere.

Plus Denis Odio can play there too

Tend to agree. seems like Slav has confidence in Christie as he got on the pitch for some tight moments in the run in. As has been said by others, I think securing Mitro and Targett or another LB, along with a high quality RW are the big ones we need to focus on

Yes of course.  Odoi as well.  I would much rather see him play right back.  There is no way he can play central defence next season.  That's where we need to spend some money.

We really do red a good centre back - this position along with Mitro and Targett are the most important Doesn't mean we don't need to strengthen elsewhere but the spine of the team is vital
