There's quite a few players from the relegated teams I'd happily take this year.
Mawson, Fabianski or maybe Clucas as an option from Swansea.
Rondon, Jay Rodriguez, Oliver Burke, Evans, Hegazy and Ben Foster from WBA.
Bauer, Ndiaye, Allen, Shaqiri, Martins Indi and Butland from Stoke

That's not to say we should be signing all of them (and in the case of Mawson, Butland and Shaqiri in particular they'll be out of our price range) but there are some good players in the 3 teams this year.

Why is Mawson out of our price range? We've just secured access to Premier League renevue streams, have a billionaire owner no longer shackled by FFP who said that significant funds are available for the right players - Mawson is exactly the profile of players we should look at (young, good defender / confident on the ball / fits our system, has a good potential sell-on value, in a relegated team so likely looking for a move to stay in the Prem). It may be that other Prem teams may also go in for him, but if it's Shad's intention to "not just survive, but thrive" then this is exactly the sort of signing we should be looking at.
