Fonte wasn't good enough last season, I can't see what's changed for him to make the step up.

Fonte seems to divide opinion among supporters like no-one else.  Many players at Fulham have taken a year to settle in and show their real ability.  Baird, Hayles, Zamora are recent examples.  I don't intend to join the knockers at this stage.  He may yet surprise.  I'd rather have him in the side that Kamara who looks as if a season loan at a lower league might assist before returning.

Some players are more suited to the Premier League than the championship this may be the case for Fonte, also going on you logic Mitro should be out too as he hasn't proved himself in the top division either!

I think the main issue with Fonte is it's hard to see where he would fit in the first XI. He's clearly no replacement for Mitrovic, maybe cover for Cairney but I would have thought Johannson or Ayite would be in front of him there.

Well no, he proved to be a class apart for us last season, and his record in the top flight, remembering he's still only 23, isn't as shabby as many make out.

I want to think that Fonte can play as a number 10 type player. But to say he would be preferred over Kamara is amazing to me. I would have Kamara as a starter or as an impact sub every time. Fonte I am not sure where you would have him.

No, as of 5PM tomorrow we can't sign anyone but until the end of August anyone outside of the PL can sign our players
