Wouldn't it be nice if just for once we could buy the new home kit for our children to wear on our summer holidays. the best time for our children to wear the shirts in the year while it's warm and there's no school etc. I have mentioned this on various questionnaires but obviously no one seems to think this would be extra revenue for the club, maybe MJG will have an insight.

Believe me I would like nothing better than having the kit early, but no matter how much we ask for it or push for it and no matter who is in charge the kit always seems to be an issue. I have no idea why and it goes all the way back to MAF days as well.
We have a meeting in next week or two and I'll ask the guys to ask the question and see what the real delay is every summer compared to other clubs.

It's odd as well because I'm pretty sure that Adidas had a meeting with the club before Xmas time, planning for this season.

Probably according to the club, there's no statistical data that says fans will buy more kits if released earlier. I.e. Those who want kits for summer holidays, will you still buy one if it's released in August instead?
If there was some data someone could show the club IF they are missing out.
I'm guessing these short term sponsorship deals we always get, ( the longest deal we've had this century is what3 years), probably means they are incentive based, and open to renegotation year on year perhaps??

Would find it odd that a championship sponsor deal with a casino wasn't opened to renegotiation now that it's exposure will go through the roof in the premier ?

Most prem teams seem to announce their new kit before the end of the season, and in some cases play their final game of the season in it - any chance we might be able to do that in 2019? I know we always seem to be one of the last to announce ours, but do you think there's any way the FST might be able to get them to agree to bring it forward next year as I doubt the hold up is from Adidas and more our end?

Well they will probably miss out on a couple of kit purchases again from me this year if they're not on sale when we get on the plane to the sun.

I was in the club shop 2 hours ago and asked the question  about the new kit and the girls said "hopefully next week"
I would take that with a large pinch of salt as there will be no progress on the kit until the sponsorship deal is finalised.
