THIRD LANARK Petition

My Norwich City supporting brother (closet Fulham too but he hates to admit it) he loved Third Lanark....days gone by I used to chat to my dear old Grandad about them...days when Jimmy Conway's name was painted on a wall adjacent to Smithwood Close Southfields.

I was always a Vale Of Leithen fan myself.

I once asked that very question on Notes and Queries in The Guardian and I was told that the football club was named after an army regiment, Third Lanarkshire Rifle Volunteers

That's interesting.  I wonder if they got their ammunition from the Arsenal ?

Another way to look at that, it leaves only 96% left to go.

I thought it was part of a numbers sequence thing. Third Lanark followed by Fourfar and East Five.
