Im normally a "have patience" kinda person but i really do believe theres been a problem

Beamer

Hopefully not a medical issue, he underwent surgery for a longstanding knee problem as soon as Swansea were relegated and the reports at the time suggested he could struggle to be ready for the start of the season. Doesn't seem to have deterred a number of other clubs chasing him though, so fingers crossed.

gang

Weak knee syndrome, more tests.

If it's not announced today, I think it must be off, for whatever reason. I've been refreshing twitter every 10mins waiting for news!

Swansea have enquired about Aberdeen centre half Scott McKenna so they obviously think Mawson is on his way 👍

I think that as it is a serious knee injury there are X-rays and scans to be taken before seeing a specialist. Then there is the return to his club for further negotiations before making a decision. There is no way anyone is paying top money for a player whose knee may give I'm trouble for many years

especially after the mitroglu debacle.

we got sold a dud there and can understand if Mawson could be another one of those.

Unfortunately we appeared to be the only team in Europe who didn't know about his problem but water under the bridge now.

We do seem to do the protracted transfer better than most!

Our club always remind me of those stereotyped images in old Ealing comedies and the like!

Everything has to be done in the traditional way, the medical report has to be hand written and sent through the internal post  even though the relevant office is just across the corridor and when it finally arrives he's out to lunch so its returned to sender!

Just when things seem to be resolved the person needed to complete the deal only works 3 days a week and can't be
contacted!
Etc etc etc.....

Apparently we're watching McKenna tonight at Burnley.
