Has anyone watched a game from  there?
Is it possible to watch from there or is it reserved for players families, VIPs, etc?

Funny- was asked that just yesterday- thought not possible?

I doubt it would be a great view of the action but would still be a cool experience

Sorry, invite only from player/ director.

My brother thought it was a great viewing point.
Don't think it would have changed much since 1962!!
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

I used to watch matches there back in early 90's, my best mates dad knew Maurice Cooke who got tickets for the balcony, great view I have to say.

I have watched matches in the 70s, from the Secretary at the time, and sat there two or three times from the Cottage, and it's decent view.
One game I remember was the one where we beat Brighton & Hove Albion  5 1, When Alan Mullery and Jimmy Dunne swopped punches on the halfway line.
Got a good view of that.

I was there for the last home game of the season we were first promoted to what was then the first division
(now championship), sat with Freddie Callaghan. Great day and view but I don't believe it's now available for fans.

I watched a couple of games from the cottage in the late 70's/80's when my cousin was secretary of the club.

Must be a privilege with the rule ,you have to be there sober so you always remember the occasion.

I may have got the name wrong, or it isn't the same person.
Was your cousin called Mike Smith.

I used to work with Yvonne's husband Johnny back in the dry.

I watched several matches from the Cottage in the late 1960's, invited by the club secretary Graham Hortop. After the games, some of the players, including Johnny Haynes, would have a drink at the bar in back of the Cottage. Then I'd have to dash to Euston to catch my train back to Brum.

Also, as I lived in Birmingham, he arranged for me to pick up tickets for my wife and I, at one or two of our away games in the Midlands, at Mansfield and Walsall (we won them both).

So as others have stated, admission at the time, was by invitation only.

The Enclosurite

Somebody has previously stated that the capacity of the Cottage is 72.  Doesn't look like 72 could fit though.
¡COYW!

Probably the 72 capacity includes the offices, Bar and of course the Dressing rooms.
