I was somewhat shocked when he left and nothing I have seen to date suggests that it was remotely the right move.

I don't buy it!

I can't see a HC like ours leaving a coach to get on with "defensive training"!
I'm sure everything that goes on in training is part of his own overall strategy and has been planned meticulously.

Yesterday's result left us only conceding one goal, which is the lowest we have conceded in any of the six League matches we have played so far.
So statistically we have to be improving in our attempts to prevent Goals against.

I think it is more likely we are missing Ream, Targett, and Fredericks at the moment to be honest, but time will tell if that is true in the longer term.

Not sure how much difference one coach would make, when we have an experienced coaching staff, with a manager in overall charge, who must surely incorporate the defence in his coaching and tactics.

If that one coach is the best in that field of work then i would say quite a lot.

Looking at how Freds is doing at Spam I doubt he will be any better for us.
