Anyone else think the song being sung for Ranieri yesterday was a bit cringey?  "He comes from Italy, he f'ing hates Chelsea", which he clearly doesn't, and why would he?  Surely we can come up with something a bit better?

Anything with the F word in it, is embarrassing.

Quite right.  We shouldn't reference that team down the road either.

Let's celebrate Claudio's arrival
and his quest to ensure our survival.
By upping the wattage
down at the Cottage
He'll surely spark our revival.  :wine:

I'm on a roll........

He arrived when Slav got the sack
Claudio announced (to put us on track);
"Smettiamo di perdere ora!...
...We need one more scorer,
And a tightening up at the back"

You are a poet,
and don't know it.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Never forget your Roots.

How about

"One is the game undefeated
One is the game I say
One is the game undefeated
playing Ranieri's way"

Or the classic
"Ranieri, Ranieri,
We're the oldest team in London
and we've got Ranieri" etc.

Steeeeeeeeeed

Well he likes a bit of Opera (re Leicester's Title Celebration) so to hear the Hammersmith end belt out Nessun Dorma might make him cry.

Also I do like his resemblance to Steve Martin (the comedian) and think the song All Of Me (also the name of a Steve Martin movie which used the song) with adapted lyrics would be good.

'Ran-ier-eiiíii' scans perfectly for 'All Of Me' for example

Que sera, sera,
Whatever will be, will be,
We'll keep wining with Ranieri,
Que sera, sera.

elgreenio

just steal the Cairney song and put Ranieri's name instead.

Aint nobody, like Ranieri, and so on...
touch my camera through the fence

Dilly ding, dilly dong, it's the Ranieri song,
dilly dong, dilly ding, the Fulham fans sing -
Ranieri - he's the king.

Mince n Tatties

The  words should be to the tune from the Italian job, would sound good.

So, you want to add Italian to the list of foreign languages (in addition to English) for the hardcore Hammersmith boys...

'he effing hates chelsea' is funny because of course he doesn't, he's been with us five minutes... but because we 'hate' chelsea it means anyone associated with fulham immediately hates him... just a bit of light hearted humour... whooooooooooooooooosh

It's not remotely funny and the reliance on the overused f word is just pathetic.

Those two valid points aside, surely we can be more original anyway.

Take Me Home MAF

Its lazy and cringe.

This Sunday he will be applauded by the Chelsea fans, and he will reciprocate their applause.

Makes me feel a bit sick.

Ha, alright...

I think for people who are offended by swearing football isn't the ideal sport. I think our fans are notoriously polite compared to some other fanbases.

Ranieri clearly indicated on Sunday at Stamford Bridge that he isn't happy with this chant so can we please stop singing it? It is just wrong on every level.

Then he needs to get a sense of humour.  Nobody singing it seriously believes he hates Ch***ea, thats why it's a great song.  It's not wrong, it's funny.  He's been in football a hell of a long time, if he doesn't get football fan humour by now then something is not quite right with him.
