Is that it then?
We wait all window to strengthen our defence and we get a guy who was Sh++e at West Spam.😨

According to you or west ham fans? In any case, a player like Salah was bad his first stint in the PL, so doesn't have to mean much at all.

I'm in disbelief at what I've just read on the BBC transfer update page:

Tim Long: "Manchester United should recall Fosu Mensah to cover in midfield. Never got a chance in his best position, still only 21, excelled in academy, adds energy & bite, would benefit from Solskjaer touch, & will not get any mins at Fulham under Ranieri. No brainer."

No brainer? Tim ... I don't know where to start with this text.

At least we know why hes crap, we've played him out of position ar RB

And noone knew Chambers would be a good CDM...until Scott Parker threw him there.

I've lost my faith in TFM though.    He had the physical tools to own the RB spot...but he was too inconsistent.

He's to Ngadeu-Ngadjui  hopefully signing.   I'd immediately slot him ahead of both Odoi and Ream...and try to build a partnership between him and MLM in a back 4.

Why do you keep repeating the stuff about Parker and Chambers? Wasn't it well known even before he joined that he could play in midfield? And besides that it has never been in any way confirmed that Parker was behind the idea at Fulham.

I'm not pulling it out of my ass dude, even if you think I am.   Let it go.  It's not a big deal.

Oh look...google is my friend.

I think it was Ranieri himself who mentioned that Parker suggested it as an option to pursue. I am sure it was a passing comment and not a big deal at the time. Somebody will dig up the quote.

Funny that this is the same article that in no way at all confirms that it was Parkers idea in the first place. For a second there I thought that something new had come to light. But agree not a big deal, but you should probably reread it when you have time.

And the added article also did not even indicate in any way that it was Parkers idea. Reading is your friend.

Yes, it is in the article provided by AnOldBrownie above. It only states that Parker told him that Chambers could play there. Strange that he had to, seeing that Slava already played him there the week before.

QuoteChambers has come a long way from that performance in South Wales in October, but Ranieri has revealed how it was Parker, the former Tottenham Hotspur man, who convinced him that the Arsenal loanee was able to play in midfield.

Ok...so Ranieri put him there...after being convinced by Scott Parker that he could do it.
