Just asked a question on their site to which the first reply seems to sum things up

There you have it then. A no nonsense builder of teams and a possible candidate. The key caveat there of course is that he would be sacked in a matter of weeks for telling TK he has suspect footballing knowledge or experience.
Back in the day was Pearson accused of throttling somebody on the pitch, latterly thrown out, after an altercation. Might have been another Pearson.

A really interesting thread to read. That season really was a perfect storm but you don't win any league of over 30 matches without being the best team in that league. Pearson never really got the credit he deserved at the time because he could be such a strange character (I'm pretty sure he brawled with an opposing player over a throw in the season before they won the PL and abused a couple of Leicester fans) and didn't he leave the club ultimately because one of his sons, who was on Leicester's books, got sacked for outrageous off the field antics?

Ranieri was in the right place at the right time with Leicester to be able to take full advantage that season and full credit to him for having done so; but don't tell me his appointment was 'Risk Free'. That's an insult to anybody who knows anything about the game we love.

Very interesting thread. The comments about Fulham appearing to appoint Ranieri on the basis of him winning the league but without any further research into the background definitely ring true!

Those Foxes sound a decent lot. Thanks for sharing, Syd.

Well done for doing that and the answers are most interesting echoing what some of us have been saying here.
