I wasn't there but the tv footage has been shown lots of times. It always makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and I still hate Derby County

Madness.

We are living in a world where a little tail can wag a big dog. There certainly are things which need addressing in this world but it's things like this that really wind people up.

If I was a player, what happens if it offends me that there is NO champers in the dressing room?????

Why is it that everybody want to be offended by something nowadays....FFS, harden the F up.

Statto

I'm sure it will be reciprocated in the Qatar world cup, where we will all be allowed into the stadium shirtless, drinking beer, eating a bacon sandwich and holding hands with our gay lover

Precisely, and I agree on both issues.

Spent some time in the Navy and remember referring to the ships I was assigned to as she, even though they had male names  :022:

intelligent societies are always going to be evolving to be more polite and considerate towards individuals.  Something organizations and people do go too far with this because they get overly worried about offending any one individual.

I can't help but think that in a highly developed intelligent society that an individual person could tell the difference between an instance where they are being deliberately offended verse an instance of chance such as a group celebration.  I believe in a truly developed society the individual person is intelligent enough to know when they are not deliberately being offended and can accept the celebration for just that.

On a related note, there are those today that overly accuse other's of being PC towards them or something.  Usually this is because said person cannot see that what they think is just playful banter is truly offensive harassment.
Anyone can blend into the crowd.  How will you standout when it counts?

Plus 1 from me. If you don't like it don't drink or eat it. Why can't we all have a choice instead of being dictated to for fear of offending others who quite often aren't actually offended anyway? It's so bloody depressing.  All this PC madness is sucking the enjoyment out of life.

Absolutely fed up with these cretins dictating how we should live our lives because of somebody else's beliefs. They offend me.
Everywhere you look there is a wimpy snowflake surrendering our entitlement, time they were melted, and moped up. The minority dictating how the Majority should live their lives.
Sounds like communism to me.

I can understand people who do not drink not wanting to be sprayed by alcohol on a podium. However, I think that could be resolved by the individuals and common sense.

They will not be donating a case of champagne anymore to the FA Cup winners incase it upsets religious beliefs.
What next?

Ridiculous! Can't imagine being so brainwashed that a bottle of champagne would become offensive......

It doesn't really offend anyone, its these idiots in these positions who believe it does.

I know for a fact this isn't true.   I know of one Muslim player that plays for LAFC here in Los Angeles.   He complained when alcohol was poured on him after he'd scored a winning goal.

Religion is a thing.

Perfect case where there is a simple fix.  Team should have known a head a time who would be offended and given him warning that alcohol was going to be involved.  No need to get rid of the alcohol just be smart about the celebration.

Yaya Toure refused the Man of the Match bottle claiming to be a devout Moslem and the FA stopped awarding it. Toure was then done for drink driving.
