After all of this could we end up just 3 points off safety?

Cardiff and Brighton haven't done much and could very possibly lose their two remaining games.. our win against Cardiff was supposedly their best chance at catching Brighton. If we continue our form and win our next two games we could've been just one win and a draw over the course of the season from staying up.

Pretty shocking when considered.

If only...

Would be the most quintessential Fulhamish thing to do.

At one point, not that long ago, I fully expected us to concede over 100 goals in the season.  So, I suppose, we should be grateful.
Going down with a bit of pride is better, but it's still relegation.  The start of next season it won't make a jot of difference, we start on the same page as Huddersfield and Luton.

Sgt Fulham

We had 38 games. That's enough for the final result to be accurate and deserved. I'm ecstatic about our recent results, but we still deserve to go down.

At the end of the season the results for the first six games matter just as much as those for the last six games. We had a terrible start and  over the whole season we fully deserve relegation.
We now face an exodus of our best players and a need for good replacements. Let us hope this can all be done in good time for the start of next season so that we can start with a team that is well organised and ready for a promotion bid.

Yes, good OP. I have been pondering this for a few weeks.

We completely screwed up the early season.  Including the 4-0 loss to Cardiff !

It just felt like 4-0

Since we lack anything to brag about this season, I'd like to point up that only Citi and 'pool have as good a record as FFC in the last three weeks. Wish the season started on 1 April, we'd be third.

Fulham squad was always good enough for premier league, but we take too long to develop teamwork every season, we need to start now by dropping the loans that are not staying  Rico, Chambers and Babel.

..FOF..

So we can still stay if someone get their points docked?

Jimpav

Puts the Huddersfield away loss into context and throwing a 2-0 lead against Brighton away.

Every team in the league though can make claims to points they should have won though. Can't be changed now.

I beg to differ. It is my belief our squad is about one million miles from being good enough. In september i was already saying relegation was assured, i thought in march, and we would barely make mid 20s for points.  Youcannot operate without a proper defence, which we still do not have, no proper standard full backs, no captain, no dominant midfielder and no back up center forward.  Three wins after being relegated is a wonderful finsh to a tenth rate season but  it is not  a reflection on the dross up to that point. If we started again, now, as we are with parkernin charge, we would still go down with this squad.

We are relegated because over 38 matches we were not good enough to finish above 18th. Our defence even with three clean sheets in a row worries me.

If the 38 game season started on the 13th April 2019 and we had nine points on the board, I have no doubt we would we would achieve the 29 additional points in 35 games required to stay up, plus a mid season transfer window would strength our squad.

We did not have a squad ready for action and familiar with each other from the off.  We had no preseason.  We had troubles finding consistency in performance in every key area on the pitch.  We changed manager from better to worse just at the moment when a corner appeared to have been turned.  We had disruption behind the scenes.

We deserve to be relegated, but SP deserves a reward for getting us up off the floor and fighting back.
