Whites duo set to leave as Man Utd and Everton show firm interest

Ryan Sessegnon and Aleksandar Mitrovic look like they're on the way out of Fulham.

West London Sport broke news on Friday afternoon, subsequently picked up by other sources, that Everton want Mitrovic and that Manchester United have made an enquiry about Sessegnon.

Tottenham have been tipped to snap up teenager Sessegnon this summer but United appear to have made the first move.

Sessegnon, 18, has a year remaining on his contract at Craven Cottage and looks set to move on.

Mitrovic scored 11 Premier League goals in a struggling side, having previously played a key role in helping Fulham win promotion while on loan from Newcastle, who sold him to the Whites last summer.

He has scored a total of 23 goals in 54 appearances for Fulham, who finished a troubled season second from bottom of the table.

Meanwhile, Fulham have confirmed the departures of Ryan Babel and Lazar Marković following the end of their short-term contracts.

And Andre Schurrle's two-year loan from Borussia Dortmund has been cut short.

The club have also activated options to extend the contracts of Floyd Ayité, Stefan Johansen, Neeskens Kebano and Denis Odoi by another year.

Options have also been triggered to extend the contracts of youngsters Magnus Norman, Mattias Kait, Jon Dagur Thorsteinsson and Jerome Opoku by 12 months as well.

Why Liverpool may cause problem for Man Utd after they 'make contact' with Ryan Sessegnon
MANCHESTER UNITED have 'made contact' with Fulham over the signing of Ryan Sessegnon, according to Sky Sports reporter David Garrido.

Garrido revealed the news on Sky Sports News this morning, telling viewers: "We understand there are multiple clubs interested but it's Manchester United who are the only ones to have made contact."

Tottenham, PSG and Juventus are all interested in the 18-year-old too, who has a year remaining on his contract at Craven Cottage.

But while United have stolen a march by making an approach, they could find Liverpool cause a problem in their transfer negotiations.

Sessegnon is a boyhood Liverpool fan and sources close to the player have told Express Sport a move to Anfield would be his ultimate dream.

While this is off the table this summer - Liverpool have previously shown an interest but that has now cooled - Sessegnon knows an Old Trafford move would almost certainly mean he never plays for the club he supports.

A move between the two is unheard of in the modern game. It's been 55 years since any player has moved directly from United to Liverpool - the last one being that of Phil Chisnall back in 1964.

This is one of the contributing factors behind Sessegnon preferring a move to Tottenham instead.

That way he can stay in the capital close to his family while also playing Champions League football and working under Mauricio Pochettino.

Spurs have not made a signing since Lucas Moura in January 2018 but Pochettino has called for the club to "operate in a different way" and now Daniel Levy is ready to grant his wish.

Fulham value Sessegnon at around £40million but the Spurs money man will be looking at a fee closer to £25m.

Ryan Sessegnon's 'ultimate dream' is to join Liverpool, despite reported Manchester United 'contact'

Liverpool and Manchester United are both reportedly interested in signing the Fulham star.

According to a report from the Express, Fulham ace Ryan Sessegnon is dreaming of a move to Liverpool, despite Manchester United making contract to sign the teenager.

The 18-year-old is rated at £50 million, according to the Sun, and there are a long list of clubs interested in securing his services this summer, including the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham.

Sessegnon is an unbelievable talent, and he will undoubtedly go on to become a real star within the game.

His progress has not been entirely smooth, however, having struggled in the Premier League with Fulham this season.

Should Sessegnon join an elite club this summer, however, he will surely improve, but quite where he will be plying his trade next season remains to be seen.

According to the Express, the 18-year-old's ultimate dream is to join Liverpool, although the first contact to sign him has been made by Manchester United.

The Merseyside outfit might be forced into moving for Sessegnon now that United have allegedly made an approach, and they will undoubtedly have an advantage in the race for the teen starlet, if the Express are to be believed.

And should Jurgen Klopp win the race for the Fulham youngster, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for Liverpool in the long-term.

Everton Plotting A Swoop For This 11 Goal Fulham Forward: Why Silva Must Get It Done

A strong end to the campaign has galvanised Everton into scripting further advancement from the next season onwards. They narrowly missed out on a potential European place finish, but the stability has been restored and the gaffer Marco Silva is already plotting his summer targets to work on the specific areas of the squad.

According to Sky Sports, the Toffees are 'very interested' in roping in Aleksandar Mitrovic from Fulham. The relegated Cottagers would love to keep hold of the Serbian for an immediate promotion push, but the striking sensation is preferring to stay in the Premier League over contesting in the second tier of English football.

The 24-year-old centre-forward completed an initial £22m (rising to £27m with performance-based add-ons) transfer from Newcastle United last summer after securing Fulham a return to the top-flight exhibiting his stupendous scoring streak while on loan.

He also netted 11 times this term in 37 league outings, however, failed to escape a relegation scare following a collective failure. The Londoners would understandably try to retain their star attacker beyond the summer window, but Mitrovic must have his own aspirations about making his mark in Europe's most celebrated football league.

Everton, meanwhile, require a prolific 'number 9' to succeed Cenk Tosun who has been highly disappointing throughout the previous campaign. Dominic Calvert-Lewin had some impressive occasions while spearheading the attack, but the youngster is more suited in a free role similar to Richarlison.

Silva is eyeing a targetman with physicality as well as aerial supremacy to dominate inside the box along with expertise in the hold-up play to distort the opponents' defensive organisation. Mitrovic has all these traits; therefore, fits the bill to meet the requirement. Although he has to be far more consistent to shine in the Toffees' colours, the improvement showcased of late deserves appreciation.

The Merseysiders are still undergoing a transition despite splashing the cash. They were in complete catastrophe midway through the campaign, yet the management opted to retain their young Portuguese chief and got rewarded for the same at the end of the season.

Everton, however, needs to improve their away form to challenge the 'big six' for a European place finish. The manager must keep up the good work after a steady start but, at the same time, require the right tools to take the club forward following years of uncertainty and underachievement.

What West Ham target Aleksandar Mitrovic thinks about potential transfer - EXCLUSIVE

SERBIAN striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is happy to leave his future in Fulham's hands.

Aleksandar Mitrovic won't push for a Fulham move this summer (Pic: GETTY)

Despite the club's relegation back into the Championship, skipper Mitrovic will not be rocking the boat by demanding a move this summer.

The ex-Newcastle hitman, 24, is expected to attract plenty of interest over the close season from a number of Premier League outfits

West Ham, Brighton and Watford are among those currently monitoring developments.

However, according to sources close to Mitrovic, he will allow Fulham to decide whether he goes or stays before the August 8 transfer deadline.

After helping fire the Londoners into the Premier League in 2017-18, while on loan from St James Park, he then joined them permanently in a £27m deal 12 months ago.

Having been captain under three different managers during Fulham's disappointing campaign back among the elite, Mitrovic is clearly deemed an integral part of the set-up.

If true your staying son.
Watching the ups and downs since 1958, wouldn't have it any other way, what a roller coaster of a club.

I'd like to believe it but they've got one of their main facts wrong. So it's more likely just a page filler.
