Gayle is  great Championship player but cant really make it in the PL. Cant see why we would splash cash and high wages on a position where we have the best in the league already in Mitro. IF Mitro leaves, then I think we absoluley should go for Gayle.

Before we make luxury purchases, lets spend our money elsewhere first, namely, a replacement for Chambers.

We need CF Gayle and CB Kalas, because with a few injuries it could be Fonte and Djola in the starting XI, which would destroy our season. In defensive midfield we have tonnes of options for reserves, even MLM could play there is required.

We haven;t had decent cover for strikers since McCormack and Dembele II left.  Fonte may have been purchased as a striker but that was a failure.  Defensively we are vulnerable unless we have attacking balance on both flanks and up the middle.  The best means of defence is always to attack and to possess the ball.  That was Jokanovic's abiding message from his first full season.
