I share your surprise. Thought WBA would have as well.

colinwhite

it will take him 2 seasons to implement his ideas on a  Pullis team. a bit like us appointing Ranieri in reverse.

I think he's had few offers but has been waiting for the right one.

Maybe he's been on gardening leave and not been able to speak to anyone until the end of the season.

ALG01

it will be a real insult if he gets another team promoted and we fail again.

Andy S

No good luck to the guy I will look forward to whoever he joins just to observe

Agree
He could do the business somewhere like Boro
Although I agree with colinwhite that it might take a while

Fernhurst

Horrible scenario alert.
Villa get beat in the final again...... Smith walks and Villa board immediately contact Jokanovic.

We get to play off final again next season against ........... Yes you guessed it.

I know...... outlandish thoughts but very Fulhamish.
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

Milo

I refuse to play against Jokanovic

:plus one:
Watching the ups and downs since 1958, wouldn't have it any other way, what a roller coaster of a club.

Robbie

Our American owners probably had him on a non compete clause with his payoff. Over typical.

bobby01

Terry supposedly being interviewed as well. Now there is someone I hope to fail.

So how is Terry likely to succeed but Parker likely to fail? I back Parker As for Slavisa the guy obviously has talent but only if he has the right players

You lost me there, where did I say Parker is likely to fail? Or even mention him. Or Terry is likely to succeed, I just said I hope he fails.

I think Boro would be in for a culture shock with Jocanovic as manager. It will take a while for then to adjust to his methods and they would have to forget about promotion next season.

Burt

Good luck to him, wherever he ends up.

Nothing can take away his achievements here, and nobody can take away the memories of that fine day at Wembley :)
