Transfer Rumour: Barcelona, Real Madrid in for Fulham wonderkid Harvey Elliott

Barcelona and Real Madrid are reportedly chasing the signature of Fulham wonderkid Harvey Elliott, whose contract is up for expiry in the summer.

Fulham's woes are set to be compounded after their relegation from the Premier League. While many of their key stars are set to leave the club for better abodes, The Sun report that Barcelona and Real Madrid are among a number of clubs chasing Harvey Elliott, who has rejected a new deal to stay at Fulham.

The starlet became the youngest player in the Premier League in the 2018-19 campaign, beating the record previously set by Matthew Briggs. Elliott's Premier League debut has ensured that Fulham will be entitled to millions in compensation if any English club comes for him.

But, a foreign club will only be due to pay £200,000 or so in compensation, which has piqued the interest of Barcelona, Real Madrid and even RB Leipzig.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have been upping the ante as far as youth recruitments are concerned. The two teams are not only building a great first-team setup but have also been recruiting youngsters for their second team in order to build a good spine for the future.

Barcelona recently signed Ludovit Reis for their B team while Real Madrid confirmed the capture of Takefusa Kubo, labelled the 'Japanese Messi'. Elliott is also regarded as a generational talent by Fulham and thus, is an ideal target for the two Spanish giants to reinforce their second team with a view to promoting the proven talents to the first-team in the future.

RB Leipzig though, might be in with a better chance, since the Bundesliga has recently proven to have a better track record as far as developing English youngsters and giving them ample first-team opportunities is concerned.

Fulham may not have Premier League football to offer. But, with Scott Parker at the helm, Elliott can rest assured he will receive considerable first-team minutes in the Championship, which has proven to be a stepping stone for many-a-young gem, the latest being former Swansea City winger Daniel James, who secured a move to Manchester United.

Fulham's very own Ryan Sessegnon also flourished first in the Championship and is now a target for Premier League clubs. James Maddison had shined for Norwich City before securing a move to Leicester City and hit the ground running in his first season at the King Power Stadium.

Thus, Fulham might be Elliott's best option to receive first-team opportunities while continuing to work on his craft. The decision will entirely be up to the 16-year-old now, with the winger having an offer on the table from Fulham already. Barcelona, Real Madrid and RB Leipzig though, will hope the allure of joining of a big club and top-flight football respectively can turn Elliott's head.

Fulham player 'one of the preferences' for club, but brakes applied due to fee

Aleksandar Mitrovic had a direct involvement in 40% of 34 goals scored by Fulham in the Premier League in the 2018/19 season.

The striker scored 11 goals and setup three more for his teammates in 37 league appearances.

With the Cottagers dropping from the Premier League, the Serbian is one of the high value players who could be sold in the summer transfer window.

Real Betis are believed to be one of the clubs interested in signing the former Newcastle United man.

Tuesday's edition of AS claims the La Liga side are in the market to bring in a new striker in order to avoid the problems they faced during the previous campaign.

Mitrovic has been 'one of the preferences' for the Seville club, but they are forced to apply the brakes in their effort to land him due to the various challenges they face in completing the 24-year-old's transfer.

It's claimed there are other clubs interested in signing the player and Betis will have to spend €25m to bring the attacker to the club, which is relatively high for the Spanish side.

Betis are also looking at other options like Villarreal's Gerard Moreno and Cristhian Stuani of Girona.

Report: West Ham losing race for Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic

photo by Shaun Brooks/Action Plus via Getty Images

West Ham are reportedly interested in Fulham centre-forward Aleksandar Mitrovic.

According to the Daily Star, the 24-year-old is one of the strikers that has emerged on the Hammers radar this summer.

But the report details that it's La Liga club Real Betis that are currently favourites to sign him.

Fulham's £24million signing (Mirror) impressed last season with his form at Craven Cottage, but was unable to keep his side from suffering relegation to the Championship.

Mitrovic scored 11 Premier League goals for the struggling West London outfit and has proven he can make a decent impact in the top-flight.

The Serbia international has an eye-catching record of 25 goals in his 48 senior caps.

TBR's View:
West Ham are in pursuit of a new striker for next season and Mitrovic could be a decent fit at the London Stadium.

He's a powerhouse that can lead the line well by himself and has the strength to bully defenders, making him an ideal fit for English football.

There is every chance he could become more prolific with better players around him and it will be intriguing to throw him into Manuel Pellegrini's team.

But it seems like there is plenty of work for West Ham to do if they want to beat Spanish club Real Betis to his signature.

Mitrovic is certainly too good to down to the Championship once again and needs a move this summer.

From Portugal: Fulham offer 'on the table' – Player excited with move

It's Portuguese newspaper Record who brings some details on Tuesday regarding Fulham's chase for the Sporting winger Jovane Cabral.

The outlet claims that the Craven Cottage side have put on the table an offer of a loan plus an option to buy the player for €10m.

The 21-year-old is said to be excited about the move, especially at the chance of getting more playing time than he's currently been given at Sporting.

The Lions are also happy to negotiate a player who hasn't been used much, and are only loaning him out in case Fulham accept to pay for his entire wages.

Record don't say how much Jovane makes at Sporting, but English clubs can normally pay a lot more than Portuguese sides, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Back on Monday, we covered reports from the local media saying Sporting would rather sell Jovane on a permanent deal, but it seems Fulham have been insisting on getting a loan first.

Jovane had four goals and eight assists in 21 appearances for Sporting last season. He's a product of their academy, and is protected by a €60m release clause.

Leeds to smash 19y/o's dreams with move for in-demand youngster – opinion

Leeds risk smashing the dreams of academy product Robbie Gotts by signing Cody Drameh from Fulham, after Sport Bible reported that we had made a 'significant bid' for the England U18 international.

The Cottagers have been desperate to keep hold of Drameh, but are now expected to cash-in on the teenager after he refused to extend his contract with the London outfit, as he will otherwise be a free agent next summer.

Liverpool are known to be one of the right-back's many admirers from the Premier League, while Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt allegedly have plans in place for the Fulham product to hold a medical at their facilities.

We, however, are understood to have lodged a 'significant bid' on Monday, with sources close to the situation telling Sport Bible that Drameh will have the final say on where he plays his football next season.

The strength of the interest in his services just goes to show how highly rated the 17-year-old is, after he made 17 appearances in the Premier League 2 during the 2018/19 season, in which he scored once and was accredited with one assist, having only made the step up from Fulham's U18 ranks permanently in October.

That is not to say Whites chiefs making a move for Drameh is necessarily needed, though, as we already have Luke Ayling taking first-team responsibilities on a regular basis, and have Gotts earning his stripes in our successful U23 ranks.

Harrogate-born Gotts even signed a new contract until the summer of 2022 back in February, having spent time working with Marcelo Bielsa's first-team in training and was named on the bench twelve times during the regular Championship season, showing how much the boss clearly rates him.

It is also a dream for Gotts to be a part of the United first-team, and minutes on the field representing the Whites next season would be fully deserved.

"I'm over the moon," Gotts told the club's official website after penning his new deal. "Having been here since the age of seven and now signing a new contract, I am just really happy.

"It is a dream come true being in and around the first-team, it is something I have always wanted to do and be part of.

"Working under such a big manager, I am learning things every day and I really feel like I have come on as a player. His methods bring out the best in you, he has been so successful and has been really good with me.

"I want to make the next step now and make my debut, and hopefully I'll be able to stay in and around the first-team more often."

Tony Cascarino thinks Tottenham Hotspur can get Ryan Sessegnon for less than £45m

Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon is reportedly on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur.

Tony Cascarino suggested on talkSPORT (8:22am, June 15, 2019) that Tottenham Hotspur will not have to pay £45 million as transfer fee for Fulham winger Ryan Sessegnon.

According to The Guardian, Tottenham are interested in signing Sessegnon from Fulham in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that the 19-year-old himself wants to move to Tottenham and will not sign a new contract.

The teenager, who can also operate a left-back, is out of contract at the Cottagers next summer, according to the report.

The Guardian has also claimed that Fulham want as much as £45m as transfer fee for the England Under-21 international.

Former Chelsea striker Cascarino has suggested that Tottenham will not have to pay £45m as transfer fee for Sessegnon, as his current contract with Fulham runs out next summer.

Cascarino said about Sessegnon on talkSPORT (8:22am, June 15, 2019): "Well, he has only got a year left on his contract, Sessegnon, so I think it would be a bit cheaper than that."

Stats

According to WhoScored, Sessegnon made 26 starts and nine substitute appearances in the Premier League for Fulham this past season, scoring two goals and providing six assists in the process.

During the 2017-18 campaign, the youngster made 48 starts and one substitute appearance in the Championship (including the playoffs), scoring 16 goals and providing eight assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

Leeds reportedly want Fulham star, but could a player-plus-cash deal be orchestrated?

(Photo by Sam Bagnall - AMA/WBA FC via Getty Images)

Leeds United midfielder Adam Forshaw is reportedly a target for recently-relegated Fulham this summer as Scott Parker looks to return the Cottagers to the Premier League at the first attempt – but a swap deal could be get a deal over the line.

The Daily Mail have claimed that Fulham want to sign 27-year-old Forshaw who has been on the fringes of Leeds' squad since joining the club from Middlesbrough for £4.5million in January 2018.

Last season, the former Everton ace only managed 32 appearances for the Whites. Indeed, Marcelo Bielsa preferred the likes of Kalvin Phillips, Pablo Hernandez, Mateusz Klich and even Tyler Roberts.

It is unlikely, though, that Marcelo Bielsa will want to wave goodbye to Forshaw, given the player can play in multiple midfield positions and is more than adequate back-up for the aforementioned players.

However, if Forshaw wants to move to Fulham – with west London likely to be an attractive more for his young family – Leeds have got to request a teenage talent is included in the deal, after being linked with him on Tuesday.

Indeed, Sport Bible claimed in an exclusive that Leeds are after 17-year-old Fulham right-back Cody Drameh. The England Under-18 international is already a regular in Fulham's Under-23 side.

Leeds have plenty of right-backs in their squad. Lewie Coyle has returned from a loan at Fleetwood, joining Gaetano Berardi, Luke Ayling and Stuart Dallas in the first team. Bryce Hosannah has been excellent for the reserves.

Nevertheless, Leeds are looking to add Drameh to their side this summer. With Forshaw being linked with Fulham, Leeds have got to request a player-plus-cash deal in order to land the right-back and some cash for Forshaw.

The move would suit all parties, with Leeds getting their man and Fulham getting theirs. Leeds have cover for the ex-Middlesbrough ace, and could even look to bring in a replacement with the money as well as getting one of England's best teenage defenders.

Transfer Rumour Round-Up: Part 2

The transfer mill has been markedly unproductive since our last instalment, but that's not to say that there isn't a medley of tangible rumours to savour in our second edition of 2019's summer period. Now, some of these fellas, predominantly the opening three, strayed into our crosshair weeks ago, but as I haven't jotted down the fleshy details behind them, they're just as relevant as the obscure links that have arisen in the last few days and hours, so bear with us for a quick sec.

Where is Scott Parker, or more appropriately Tony Khan, planning on strengthening the squad? It's bloody obvious, however it's a question we've asked ourselves profusely for a while because bugger all's happened, but surely something's close to completion. In typical Fulham fashion, we'll begin the window sluggishly but then, inexplicably, our recruitment team will spring into action with a relentless foray into the unsuspecting market.

Scary, I know, but with pre-season meetings against FC Porto and other renowned dynasties of the modern game in the offing, we surely want to get a few thrilling additions bedded in, right? Who's going to replace Mattias Kait for crying out loud!? Forget it, I'm done with babbling like a deranged moron because he's simply irreplaceable, so I'll grab the gaffer tape and muzzle myself before we all zone out of focus.

Ivan Cavaleiro – Wolverhampton Wanderers
This sounds very familiar, but a report published by The Birmingham Mail suggests that Wolverhampton Wanderers will consider bids for Ivan Cavalerio during the summer transfer window. Wolves allegedly value the 25-year-old winger at around £12m, and as Fulham and Newcastle United were supposedly tailing his signature in the summer of 2018, it's thought that the Whites could make their interest known once again a year later.

Cavaleiro joined his current employers in 2016 from Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco for a shallow £7m, so the excelling Premier League side are seemingly seeking to make a profit on the Portuguese attacker. A trusted component of Nuno Espirito Santo's Championship title-clinching set-up of the 2017-18 campaign, Cavaleiro's starting status at Molineux has since sacrificed, and as he understands exactly what it takes to gain promotion from England's second-tier, the Whites would be wise to acquire his disregarded services.

Neil Etheridge – Cardiff City
Nurtured at Mostpur Park before departing Fulham in 2014, Neil Etheridge guarded the sticks valiantly for Cardiff City during the previous Premier League campaign, and according to Wales Online, the Bluebirds allegedly rebuffed a bid in the £10m region from the Whites. The Cottagers aren't the only potential suitor that's been snubbed by Cardiff, however, as it's believed that Premier League returners Aston Villa also had an £8m offer rejected.

Etheridge featured in all of Cardiff's 38 top-flight games last term and was one of the club's top performers, despite their relegation to the Championship alongside Scott Parker's inherited fold. Becoming the Premier League's first ever representative from the Philippines, Etheridge incidentally never made a first-team appearance for the Whites but a shot at redemption in SW6 could be very persuasive, but at this level, in the Championship, is he a better option than Marcus Bettinelli? That remains to be concluded.

Matt Targett – Southampton
The vast majority of Fulham's faithful would sell their left nipple to see this happen, but Sky Sports' Lyall Thomas understands that Fulham have reignited their pursuit of Southampton's Matt Targett. The 23-year-old left-back was a predominant figure behind Slavisa Jokanovic's coveted Play-Off-winning squad of 2017-18 and now, after a long-hauled chase, the Whites are keen to snag his expertise once again before the start of the imminent campaign.

Last summer, it's thought that Fulham had a £5m bid turned down by the Saints and Targett, who's set to jostle with Ryan Bertrand once more in the coming season if he remains at St. Mary's, went on to make 21 domestic outings for the south coast club. One stumbling block, though, is the evident realisation that we already have a versed Championship fullback in Joe Bryan on our books, and whilst Targett would heighten competition for a matchday spot, the prospect of both being at our disposal is fairly unfeasible.

Todd Kane – Chelsea
As per a report published by Football Insider, a quad of respectable English clubs – consisting of Sheffield United, Derby County, Aston Villa and indeed Fulham – are all said to be admirers of Chelsea's Todd Kane, who spent last season on loan at Hull City. The 25-year-old's standing contract with the Blues is set to expire this month, and as he'll ultimately be available for free, he certainly isn't short of willing suitors.

Kane's temporary spell on Humberside was notably successful, having made 41 competitive appearances for the Tigers. Fulham's Achilles heel was undoubtedly the right flank and Kane, being a right-back by trade, will undoubtedly bolster the Whites' defensive ranks. Recruiting proven Championship professionals will be vital for Fulham if they're to mount a push for promotion once more, so perhaps Kane, amongst other noteworthy names that have been mentioned, would be an extremely shrewd signing indeed.

Jovane Cabral – Sporting CP
One name that's been on the tip of everyone's tongue in recent days has been Jovane Cabral of Liga NOS side Sporting CP, and if various reports – including Record's – is to be believed, then Fulham could have a particularly electrifying attacker on their hands, if their proposed intrigue comes to fruition. The Portuguese outlet is under the impression that the Whites are keen to lure the vibrant 21-year-old to SW6 on loan, with the possibility of making him a permanent fixture of the fold for £10m.

Cabral, 21, exploded onto the senior scene last season for Leões and his searing escapades have seemingly caught Fulham's eye. The Cottagers will aim to seek a replacement for Ryan Babel, and as the flourishing Cape Verdean registered 4 goals and 8 assists in 31 outings last season, they could have located a worthy replacement. Like Babel, Cabral thrives on committing opposing players and his surging approach to his offensive responsibilities would compliment the Whites' philosophy on the break.

Adam Forshaw – Leeds United
A player of true Championship prestige, the Daily Mail believes that Fulham are hot on the heels of Leeds United midfielder Adam Forshaw. Fine-tuned to the pressured of the second-tier, having previously plied his trade for Brentford, Wigan Athletic and Middlesbrough as well as Leeds, Forshaw only made 19 domestic starts for Marcelo Bielsa's set-up last season, so a fresh start could be exactly what the 27-year-old requires.

It's subsequently thought that Leeds will demand £4.5m for the central midfielder, but as he's struggled to make a lasting impact at Elland Road since arriving in January 2018, the likelihood of the Championship's resident bottlers achieving that asking price is relatively slim to say the least. Nevertheless, with a new lease of life, Forshaw's studied nature on the ball, mixed with his experience, could be beneficial to Scott Parker's midfield contingent

Stephy Mavididi – Juventus
A promising Brit abroad, Juventus' Stephy Mavididi, subject to a report published by 90min, is said to be on various transfer radars in England, with Newcastle United, Southampton, Burnley, Aston Villa, Derby County and Fulham, of course, all contesting to sign him on loan from the Italian superpower. Raising eyebrows in I Bianconeri's U23 collective, the 21-year-old made his senior Serie A bow in a freak 2-1 defeat to SPAL in April, but since then, with the emergence of Moise Kean, he only made the bench a further three times.

Mavididi, a product of Arsenal's youth system and held in a similar regard to current Gunners starlet Eddie Nketiah whilst in North London, spent stints on loan at Preston North End and Charlton Athletic before jetting off to Italy in 2018, so he's familiar to the expectations that the Championship and first-team football exhibits. What's more, training alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala amongst others wouldn't have done his underlying development any harm, and as a possible understudy to Aleksandar Mitrovic, the aspiring Young Lion could inject the Whites firepower with an enthused, hungry principle.

drameh show Leeds United transfer news: Whites make bid for Fulham wonderkid Cody Drameh – reports

Marcelo Bielsa is looking to create a legacy at Elland Road and has identified the 17-year-old

Leeds United have made a 'significant bid' for Fulham wonderkid Cody Drameh, according to reports.

With Marcelo Bielsa reaffirming his intentions to stay at Elland Road, the Argentine has begun scouting the transfer market for a next generation of youngsters.

Having helped a host of starlets through the academy to the first team, it seems as though Drameh could well be next to join the revolution in Yorkshire.

The Daily Mail claimed in May that Champions League winners Liverpool had scouted the 17-year-old right-back and were impressed by him, adding that the Reds were 'gearing up' for a move.

But it looks like Leeds might have joined the race and, according to Sport Bible, the Elland Road club have made a sizeable offer for the 'gem' who is listening to offers.

The report adds that Fulham are ready to cash in on the England youth international, whose contract expires next summer.
