Holtby has been pretty useless throughout his time at Hamburg. I've witnessed the embarrassment Hamburg has become with my Hamburg supporting girlfriend and her family (apparently they are doing away with the song at the beginning of games. The clock I can understand but not the song). Holtby tries hard but ultimately isn't good enough for top level football and it's questionable whether he's good enough for 2 bundesliga.

my memory is he was nothing special when we had him on loan.... but it was a few years ago. The one thing I recall was people saying what a great addition he would be but the lack of memory speaks volumes, however magath may have been the real issue.
