Two defeats and in each game we went one goal down in fact on Saturday we went two goals down. Maybe we just don't have that fighting spirit to come back and score goals to win the game.

No we had the spirit but the goal gave Forrest that extra incentive to shut up shop and wth their two defensive bank of four we just couldn't break them down.

I think on another day with a little more luck we would have scored a couple.

Parker has admitted we are starting matches slowly and tending to give teams an early advantage, no doubt he will address the problem.

SP also needs to address the problem that nobody seems able to take a decent corner, that problem has been around too long now and yet we told it is something that is practiced all the time, really?

Did so admire Ryan Babel, great professional and pass master taking corners with a high degree of accuracy and pace.
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

..FOF..

Maybe the strategy should be like the last time we are in the Championship.

Score more.

I am pretty sure we showed plenty of fighting spirit. That was an intense 20 minutes, and even more so after we scored. Every single player was rallying. We had shots saved, shots deflected, peppered their goal - and just couldn't finish.

Fighting spirit is the last of our concerns. It's just better quality finishing, which will come with more time and repetition of hitting the target.

I know what would help us a great deal:

If TC had a smidgen of pace to compliment his undoubted skill.

As we have , for many years, been unable to beat the 1st defender at corners perhaps we would be better using short ones. At least we would keep possession. Barca hardly ever take a long one. We don´t have a Roger Brown, Chris Coleman or Brede Hangeland to attack corners with runs from outside the box.

Sure would be nice, for a change, eh?  Not only conceding first, but so early.  Just puts much more pressure on the lads to 'come back' from the early deficit.  (Although, if early, at least much more time left in the match to get back even.)
