The Fulham Flutter

Noticed a discussion on another board about the old Fulhan Flutter.  I don't recall ever winning it but may've come close to the Golden Goal ticket once.  From memory they drew the flutter out of a home made wooden box. I thought the comment below summed up how different things were back in the day:

"I remember a lovely lady sitting in front of me winning it, her winnings were handed over to her in a Tesco bag, three of us decided to escort her on the bus to Roehampton - think there was over a grand in the bag!"

What a great evening she must've had.

Bring it back I say. I won the equivalent one at Yeovil once but only £130 .

I used to have a lucky seller opposite the park gates when we were in the fourth division. So close to winning once when the bloke next to me had the lucky ticket. Great days. No wonder the club has struggled since they stopped selling them.
