Did anyone see BBC4 last night at 10.00 (pm). 60 minutes of rock bands from the early 70's? Some great music and musicians some who who are sadly not with us anymore.

Sorry, Captain missed it. See if I can get it on catch up, sounds great.
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

I do recommend it Fernhurst.  :54: Oh and I have recommended you for promotion for services rendered at the Cottage. You will stay promoted unlike us last season....

I will report to Sargent Peabody for my additional stripe.

The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

It will be the finest red carpet ceremony possible sir. For those it affects TV will warn about flashing images....

George Formby, Victor Sylvester, Donald Peers, Mrs Mills? Rock on  :yay:
Johny's in the basement
Mixing up the medicine
I'm on the pavement
Thinking about the government
The man in the trench coat
Badge out, laid off
Says he's got a bad cough
Wants to get it paid off
Look out kid
It's somethin' you did
God knows when
But you're doin' it again

There was a Special Proms concert night dedicated to Nina.Simone recently which was fantastic too, and should be on iPlayer, great couple of hours.

Saw and enjoyed the programme last night.
As you say brought back memories of some great bands.
Best for me was seeing Steve Marriott and Humble Pie.
Great band who I saw live at the Hammersmith Odeon back in 1974 and who made one of the best live double album I have ever heard 'Humble Pie Performance - Rockin at the Fillmore'. Steve Marriott was some singer and his performance on the album was brilliant.

So many great guitarists and singers and no miming! Sad end for Steve Marriott.
