Managers all start here. Very few are good in their first job. The reason being is they are given the push before they have properly cut their teeth. Bobby Robson got us relegated in the 1960's before going to Ipswich and taking them in to Europe. He eventually became one of England's more successful managers. Graham Taylor started at Lincoln before taking Watford from the lower divisions to the Premier league. He too got the England managers job. There have been many similar stories since. Maybe even Parker could be the next one. So perhaps we should wait and see how well the club does in the transfer window before we throw the baby out with the bath water.

Fair point Andy,
But given the urgency with FFP, can we hang on for SP to find his feet?

I think there are examples of new managers making a success/not of their career, for every Bobby Robson there is 3 or 4 Kit Symons
