Sgt Fulham

2-1 Hull. Bogey team and good side on their day. We always play teams on their day.

I can't see how we would win this game, especially after losing at the Cottage when Hull was below average at best. So, I voted we will win. Obviously.

I can see your point, and yes it will be no picnic away to Hull City.
The ironic thing is that it seems to be the kind of game that Fulham would go and win when it is least expected. Personally I have put down a draw because I feel we are are more than capable subject to team selection and injuries. Nevertheless, I expect a tough game as usual.
However, when I write down the players names there is so much quality in most positions. I expect when Scott  Parker is standing in the dressing room, he sees a footballer in every corner of the dressing room.
Despite that my mind always goes back to our defending attributes or lack of them. It's a tough place to go at Hull City, but it would be wonderful to obtain a clean sheet up there, if we could do that, then we only need one goal to win.
As a footnote, now that Cav has signed permanently it may have a positive effect on his game in as much as he can relax and in his mind be fully committed to Fulham which may see him step up another gear.

Big test for Parker IMO, now Hector is here and the injury crisis is over. Even if we're going to recalibrate our target to promotion via the play-offs (which in itself is a pretty significant downgrade in expectations) we should be beating, or at least thoroughly outplaying, teams just outside the top 6 like Hull.

I don't see any evidence that MLM, S.Sess, Reed, Cairney and Kebano are back from injury, which means the bench will weaker than it could be.

I understand your concerns Rational Fan, but we may not need the services of the Bench, as the starting 11 should be more than good enough to get a result up in Hull, and anywhere else come to think about it.
If by any chance substitutes are required, which no doubt they will be.
We have some exciting youngsters coming through and I am sure will bust a gut for the manager and the team if they are on the field of play.

Fulham doesn't seem very good at scoring in the second half away from home.

Whitestone

It's about time this team started living up to the hype. I'd like to see a bit more grit, determination and passion than they've shown in most games this season, together with a bit more solidity. Then we may actually achieve our goals because there's no doubt about the quality in the squad. Hector's arrival and the return of Arter are big pluses. I think it'll be a tight game, as usual,  but I just fancy us to nick it by the odd goal.

More scoring ability of the bench will help.

Then let's try and score more goals in the first half then, and it would be ideal to have another striker on the bench who is capable of scoring. But all teams more often than not begrudge their lack of scoring ability as they like us are guilty of squandering chances as goals win matches. That is why you only need to keep a clean sheet as one goal will always be enough to win a game.
Until we make ourselves hard to score against and hard to beat, which is the first sign of a team heading in the right direction, I fear we will continue to be unpredictable.
