Barukcic retains Fulham dream

Slovenian starlet hoping Craven Cottage switch can be completed

Teenage goalkeeper Mateo Barukcic is hoping a dream move to Fulham can still be pushed through.

The Slovenian starlet took in a spell with the Cottagers over the summer and felt he did enough to impress during his time in England.

However, any hope he had of penning permanent terms collapsed once Roy Hodgson departed Craven Cottage for Liverpool.

His successor, Mark Hughes, opted against taking the matter any further and Barukcic was forced to return to his club Bravo.

The youngster is, however, still keen to move to England and reports suggest Fulham could be about to rekindle their interest.

"I believe I could play for Fulham," Barukcic told Bravo's official website.

"Coaches at this club are saying that I am big enough and that I have the right body construction to play for them."
