Slightly off topic but I just noticed that Kacaniclic, Islamovic and Tankovic are all top forwards in the swedish league atm, they found the right level for them many years after leaving us...

Just to elaborate on this. They are not all at the same level, and they have not all yet found their level in my opinion. Both Kaca and Tankovic showed last year that they are likely too good for the Swedish league.

After several years with limited game time Kaca came back to Sweden. He started alright but little end product. During the second half of the season he exploded, and scored 10 goals and 8 assist in the last 15 games of the season. If he keeps the form he'll be gone to Germany Italy or something like that by summer. Also plays as a winger, so no forward really.

Tankovic had his second year in Sweden (after some time in the Netherlands with mixed success). The first year he was voted best new player. Last year he came second in voting for best midfielder (plays left wing or attacking mid, so also not a forward). He scored 14 goals and had 8 assist in 28 games. He is also only 24 still, and has been strongly rumoured to Genoa in Serie A.

Islamovic returned to Sweden after injuries ruined the better parts of two seasons. He seems like a good (but not great) forward at that level and has scored a decent amount of goals. He just signed for Rosenborg (the biggest team in Norway). Unlikely to come much further, at least not to a level to play for the national team.

All three joined the national team for the annual January squad that consists mainly of players from the Nordics. Tankovic, actually joined the full squad during the fall, and started the last qualification game (after Sweden had already qualified). He is seen as having a decent chance to claim one of the last spots for the Euros. Kacaniclic is deemed to have an outside chance, but will likely have to rely on injuries or major loss of form to one or two players in order to receive his call up. He actually has 21 caps to his name already, but most were back in his breakthrough days with us.

Islamovic is likely not even in the discussions, and will not be unless we get at least 3 or 4 forwards injured. Possibly not even then.
