Fulham 1-1 WBA, September 1992

Member HillingdonFFC has been kindly putting together some content from the 80's/90's, and putting it on Twitter, however, thought it'd be good to share it on hear, so we so can all talk about our memories from particular games.

First up is a 1-1 draw with WBA at the Cottage, September 1992, Sean Farrell was the scorer, and Steve Archibald set him up. Manager at the time was Don McKay.

Was you in attendance that day?

He is fat , he is round, he is worth a million pound. Difficult to identify players from those clips but it is good to see one of our all time favourites, Jim Sranard , in action.

Jim Stannard at his best was a Premier League level keeper.
He was unfortunate to have to have played behind some awful defences and for managers who didn't seem able to control him.

Both he and Glen Thomas were being looked at by West Ham at one point.

I was at this game, Archibald was about 35-36 from memory, we played really, really well, and a point faltered WBA.

Was this the game where Mackay took to the pitch with a mic in front of the Hammy end?

It was Archibald's debut as I remember and I also remember us playing surprisingly well.

Big crowd for the time too. West Brom had loads

Had forgotten that we had Archibald for a while.
