I see Little Richard has passed away aged 87. I will never forget first hearing his records back in the 1950's! What an exciting performer he was. RIP.

RIP
My first musical obsession
The man was a total genius, we never see the like again
and against rumours to the contrary
Little Richard was the undisputed, number one, heavy weight champion King of Rock and Roll

Good Golly Miss Molly
You sure like to ball

Thye'll be rocking in heaven tonight and for some time to come yet

First rock concert I attended (1962 or 63) saw him at the Granada in Kingston. Still remember him jumping on top of the piano as he belted out Good Golly Miss Molly. Electrifying performer.

Real innovater and pretty much the inventor of Rock and Roll.
RIP Richard, what a lifetime!!
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

He said himself if I'd have been white there would have been no need for Elvis Presley. So true.

Johny's in the basement
Mixing up the medicine
I'm on the pavement
Thinking about the government
The man in the trench coat
Badge out, laid off
Says he's got a bad cough
Wants to get it paid off
Look out kid
It's somethin' you did
God knows when
But you're doin' it again
