Mitro's Penalty

Good to see Mitro get a couple of goals but I didn't think his penalty was one of his best , plenty of power but rather too close to the keeper.
However he did seem to slip just as he was striking the ball and this could well have affected the direction of the kick.

Could the slip have been caused by all the half time watering, we seem to overdo the pitch watering and it is not unusual to see players slipping from time to time.

The slip is down to the stupid boots players wear nowadays. You will struggle to watch a game where at least one player Doesn't slips due to Foot ware. Gone are the days where you would put on a different pair of boots if your studs were the wrong length

Did it go in? Yes it did, so a good penalty imo!

Unlikely to be down to the half time watering.....Mitro's penalty was 4 minutes before half time! Maybe the pre match watering, but if they know they are going to water the pitch, hopefully the players would wear the right boots.

Thanks for the correction, but we do see a lot of watering and an amount of slipping these days.

I was a bit worried that Mitro might put it top right again which might have shown future penalty saving keepers which way to go. In stead he belted it straight down the middle. Good penalty whether that was down to the slip I'm not sure
