Last week, Scottish National Party MP Peter Wishart called for all referees in Scotland to be forced to reveal their allegiance to a particular team, a suggestion backed by Celtic chairman John Reid.
What would happen if Premier Referees were made to do the same under a lie detector? or threat of a Glasgie kiss?

Refs should declare if they have an allegiance to a club and should not be allowed to officiate in those games, the problem in Scotland is not which club but are you Catholic or Protestant?

The real problem here are the clubs. They are basically lobbying to have the ability to choose who referees their matches - which is tantamount to matchfixing.

You don't think Red nose has a say in who refs at their games?

He probably does and it is a problem. Condemning refs is not the answer, we should support them - they are human. If people want mistake free games then technology is the only answer.

Totally agree but they should be treated with same respect as Rugby refs are, none of this pushing and in the face that is creeping back in.

Simple rule - only the captain is allowed to talk to the ref. anyone else gets a yellow card.
