The first team to spend over £100m and still get relegated.

I'm pretty sure that we were the first team to play on a Sunday.

The first team to pay a £100 per week to a player.

The first club to have a non player statue outside the stadium.

Slaphead in Qatar

Over the years we have set a few of these
1975 the longest run to Wembley of any FA Cup finalist ever, won't be beaten now due to only one replay per round, unless someone makes it from the preliminary qualifying round. I think it took four matches to get past Forest in the third or fourth round.
1946 the only team to win a cup match (not the final) against a team that reached the final. We beat Charlton in the third round. Unfortunately it was over two legs that season, and they beat us in the other leg to go through.
The last team in the top flight to have floodlights installed
The last team in the top flight to have terracing

Now we have the longest ever successful promotion campaign, one year and one day. Watch out for it in future pub quizzes.

And we are unbeaten at Wembley for 45 years

Fulham33

First goal scored in League Cup. (quickly followed by first team to be knocked out of League Cup). I believe - Fulhamish

I'm curious, which is the last club to go up to the same division via the playoffs on consecutive attempts?
(Does that question make sense?!)

Blackburn have a Jack Walker statue since 2001.
Celtic have a statue of Brother Walfrid.

Perhaps the first non football related statue?

Not a good one this...I think the first English club to have a German manager? I feel a vomit coming on....

I think he was the first Prem League German manager and one who stored cheese in the physio's room.

Also , do Fulham still hold the record of beating a team from a higher division in the fa cup by the biggest score ?  November 1995 Fulham 7. Swansea 0 ?

I stand corrected.

The first English team to play in the Europa League Final.

(All the football world called it a Micky Mouse Competition, now it's very fashionable.)
