No doubt we will give Arsenal a right good tonking as I have never seen us beat them live.

Twig

It is exciting but without any prospect of attending any time soon it's just not the same.

I see lower league games are now open to fans. Wonder when they'll open up for top flight supporters?

Praying for this.

I'm not missing Leeds away AGAIN haha  :031:

That's been brought forward for non league as they have terracing, and also lots of them we're going to go bust  if no money through turnstiles.

We need to hit the ground running, lots of winnable games in first few fixtures, excluding Arsenal.

Arsenal are beatable. We need to set out a 'marker', beating Arsenal would do that.

Totally agree. Im feeling a lot more confident of a better season in Prem this time around than last. Not sure why though.

There are several "must win" games in the first couple of fixtures. It's more important than ever that we are prepared for the start of the season. Where's that LCB??? Please lets not have the Chambers situation all over again!!!

Woolly Mammoth

We can start by beating Arsenal, only a loser would think otherwise.
It's players with a strong mentality that will persevere and win these games. No room for faint hearts in this Fulham team, no room for deadwood or passengers either or big time Charlie's who think they are doing us a favour. We have to make ourselves hard to beat first and foremost. That's where the points will come to stay up, by nicking points off of the likes of Arsenal. Because if anyone thinks they can rely solely on maximum points from the likes of Villa, Leeds, Brighton and Albion better think again, because they will be fighting for their lives as well.
We need to pick up points early from whoever is in front of us and build up a momentum and keep it ticking over, because at sometime during the season we will have a rocky patch so we need to target every game as a must win starting with Arsenal.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Me too, mainly because we can actually defend under Parker. We will need to mix the game up a bit though against the better teams, play more on the counter.

38 0-0 should see us safe.

It is exciting but not being able to attend matches does take the shine off a bit.

Can you imagine what that opening game against Arsenal would be like withthe Fulham fans going crazy at our return to the Prem?  Opening games at home are always brilliant occasions.....
Err our last promotion opening game against Palace was not exactly brilliant.

Maybe not but the anticipation, seeing the regulars again, seeing the team I love back in the Prem, it all makes for a fantastic day.  I wasn't really talking about the results; they tend to always let us down!

Definitely had a sense of anticipation  leading up to that opening Palace game, and had to be there, even though I live miles from London and don't get to many home games now.

It was pretty even game, and we  should have got something out of it - a good pen shout  not given wasn't there?, and maybe a  keeper misjudgement  from a keeper making his  debut, but I thought it was a promising  start to the campaign, and i wouldn't have predicted  the  disaster that happened.
Even after the first three games -  a bit unlucky at Spurs, and  should have got all three points at Brighton rather than one and our defending did look dodgy.

But I certainly didn't regret going to that opening Palace game, and the atmosphere at the Cottage was brilliant, after all that had happened to us in recent times.

Hopefully, this season Scott and the players will have learned enough to stay up in the crucial first season. Be a lot harder to score against for a start.

Brighton are trying to get a trial scheme for crowds going to games, they have set out a proposed system, sent to me in an email earlier in the week.    https://www.brightonandhovealbion.com/news/1755228/return-of-fans-round-up?utm_source=august18&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=contentnewsletter&dm_i=2D77,1MWU5,3ODNGZ,5JQO7,1

Are we still having a charity shield this season ( I know that's not it's name anymore ). Could see arsenal get a right old run around at Wembley and get slightly demoralised a couple of days before they play us if it's still going ahead

And also one key point was that the crowds are very much reduced and it is considered that you can put in measures to attempt to keep people separated rather more easilly than if you expect tens of thousands into a small space.

Whether this actuaololy proves a good idea we will just have to wait and see.

Start and finish at home, Boxing Day at home too.

Noticed Chelsea got Arsenal away on Boxing Day, last time we were at home they had Watford away. They get "local" away games on Boxing Day that you can travel to on the underground whereas we get flung all around the country (and over to Wales).

pleased to see the Chelski games are next year, hopefully make one of those.

It'll be 2021 before we get to go to any away games, at the earliest.
Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
