I thought that and got a mention on the Radio London commentary. But they didn't know. My long gone father told me it always used to be Chelsea one week Fulham the next to go and watch.

The Glory Days of football when Fulham had home games when the other lot were away, and vice versa.  Quite an art form to do manually given that there may be more than two clubs to 'seed' to avoid clashes (e.g. Everton/Liverpool; City/United; Wednesday/United; Arsenal/Spurs etc) and even quite tricky to program a computer to do without a template that does it for you (i.e. you have the seeded groups sorted before  you do the rest).  Nowadays all you have to do is change the date and/or time of kick off to suit a media outlet.
