Still no striker to help Mitro

Take it we won't be addressing this problem. Josh King would have been the ideal foil for Mitro. Looks like we'll have to rely on AK47. God help us

Neutral Zone Ultra

As has been pointed out many times on the transfer thread, King can still be signed up until the 16th.

I'd also take Karlan Grant (who would've played with Lookman at Charlton).

General

Technically could still sign Wayne Rooney due to him being in the championship too.

Karlan Grant would be a great backup, as he is a CF that can play on the left wing, plus knows the Championship and still three years off his expected peak.

Mr K.Dilkington

Grant would be decent, but king would be preferential. Some exciting signings today though if not a striking one

I noticed WBA very quiet. A quick look in their board (as depressed as ours) reminded me that there is a second deadline day for deals with EFL. Players like benrahma, king, deeney and grant Being talked about there

I agree that King would be preferable.

Benrahma is my wish.    Not sure why no bigger club has reached out to Karlan Grant...but it's a red flag.    We know Benrahma can help the rest of the front line.

Another striker would of been nice but still, three signings including Loftus Cheek. We should at least be happy with that. Could of been worse and signed nobody as most people expected.

Pluto

Would have been great to get King. Really hope we still can as Mitro badly needs support.

After checking the number, Karlan Grant is pretty impressive to me.   Really would add speed, strength and scoring to our front line.

Like him more than King actually. (and Benrahma since Grant can be a backup #9 as well as play wide)  King has more prem experience, but Grant would probably be cheaper and is younger.   Could grow with the club.

Huddersfield vs. Blackburn has Karlan Grant (playing on the left....not as the #9) and Tosin as one of the Blackburn CBs.

These two teams both look like CRAP.   But you can see what Karlan would provide if the rest of his team wasn't below average.     Unpleasant game to watch, but I wanted to see the guy we just signed play against the guy I want us to sign.

With a good midfield and service Karlan could do a job at #9 or as a wide player.    Rather have him than Benrahma (who can't really play the #9 role)

Mr K.Dilkington

It'll be interesting to see if anyone actually  comes in for benrahma or if he pushes and they lower asking price.
We do 100% need a back up striker even with all the acquisitions made.

That Huddersfield midfield looked like crap in the one game I watched.    Sheesh.

I'm a member of the "save Karlan Grant from Huddersfield" fan club.

Huddersfield vs Leeds (I'm really starting to dislike Leeds United...even though I appreciate their work ethic...respect their coach )

Karlan is playing as more of a #9, even though they report him as starting at the spot behind the #9.

He's totally starved for service because the Huddersfield midfield can't build up squat or hold the ball because of Leeds press/work rate.

Call me a "Football Manager wanna be coach" all you want.     Karlan Grant would improve us, and he'd probably cost less than Joshua King and someone like Benrahma.

Our midfield isn't shite.   We have talent.

They can get a decent attacker with pace and finishing ability the ball to do what he does.  Finish.

The more I watch Huddersfield the less I like them (as a ball playing side)...but Karlan Grant scored 19 goals in that piss poor side.

Grant is preferable, as we can afford to keep him at the club even if we go down and he is improving. If we go down without a team that can get up through parchuate payments, then we will be a decade in the championship. If we go down having to get players off the books, then the Khans will just be following the Hull model.

Leeds added a Brazilian midfielder who has a ton of pace.     Just saying...we haven't addressed our scoring at all.

The only team that's scored less than us after 4 games has been Sheffield United.

I don't care who we currently have under contract.    Cav, Knock, BDR, Kebano, AK47...  in our system, they haven't been good enough for an entire season.

Get in a better player from the Championship while we still can.   Yes...we need a full squad.    We also need one more in our starting 11 that can put the ball in the back of the net.

Last time we were in the premier league, Anguissa and Cairney scored one goal between them, so our front three need to be scoring a lot of goals if we are to have any chance of staying up.

Why is ours depressed? I think we are on the up.

Beamer

Could Bobby Reid play up front with Mitro, we need a player who is willing to run in behind the high-line defences we are seeing more and more of plus getting onto Miro lay-offs/flick-ons. He ceratainly shouldn't be needed in midfield with the number of options we have.
