One of the many things we forget about new players when they do not bed in straight away is that often they do not speak English and that they have literally just moved to a new country.

He comes across well, good work ethic. Hopefully he will, in time, make that left back spot his own

I agree. It must be hard settling in, especially if you didn't have any friendly (but real) games to get used to your team mates. I said it in another thread: you don't know where they will be running, you don't know whether they will cover your back, you don't know anything basically. He was thrown into the lion's den without proper training.

He will get better again, he will find the balance between defence and attack and he will make us proud.

Snigger... I think he'll do alright. Good pedigree and loads of experience, let's hope he's back to full fitness soon and
finds his best form too.
