It's not just lack of goals hurting us

Controlling a football wouldn't go a miss when a team is trying to create opportunities let alone take pressure off team. How on earth are you going to score or make chances if you have player/s in pivotal positions needing more than two touches to bring a football under control let alone bring team mates into play. This is the so called elite level and though lack of options or competition in these areas are obvious but improved technique is something that can be worked on. I am mainly venting my frustrations on a couple of players who are serial offenders.
Starting to worry that all the good work and effort the last few months will slowly drain confidence from a team who just don't look like they have more than one goal in them.

We have received many plaudits of late but the common ground where we are concerned is the final third.

So many times we look poised to create an opportunity but something lets us down in the final third - whether it be a mishit pass, poor control etc - we're never going to score if we're not getting players in the right position and putting it to their advantage.  That cross from Lookman to Cav at Spurs was a prime example but that might happen once every 3-4 matches for us

Instead of critising look at the teams we've taken points off during the current run

It took Roy ages to get us scoring after sorting out oue defence and it worked and Scott has a lot more games to work with

Roy also had the likes of McBride, Nevland, Simon Davies and Clint Dempsey to work with and score goals.

We have Cav, Lookman, Kamara & BDR.

We still need a cutting edge and that's not going to change also cav is not a no 9 BDR is the nearest thing we have to a cutting edge excluding Mitro who has not been at the races so far this season.

I think Lookman is our best attacking player but to be honest Cav., Lookman and Reid are all weak when it comes to scoring goals. We must sort the problem with Mitro, his is our best player in front of goal without a doubt.

And we won't have BDR for our next game either as he is suspended...

Yeah that ones particularly painful...its likely going to mean Kamara starting unless scott opts to push RLC out wide and play TC through the middle.

Unless he pushes Tete further forward and has Aina at RB, suppose that's possible too. With Bryan left and Tete right...perhaps the scene is set for Mitro who might actually get a cross to feed off of

personally I Think he will just straight swap Bryan for Robinson and rlc for bobby. It's pretty much how his preferred attack has been for ages now anyway.
CHRIS MARTIN IS SO BAD,  WE NOW PRAISE HIM FOR MAKING A RUN.

We are quite a big side now why are we still
very poor at corners and set pieces seeing as we are
struggling too score from open play we need to take
as much from these opportunities as possible ,
but we just seem to waste them.
