I am yet another in favour of bringing Mitro back, it is our only chance of scoring.

                                                                     Areola
                                                         Aina     Anderson      Tosin
                                               Tete                                              Robinson
                                                                  Reed     Anguissa

                                               Reid                   Mitro                    Lookman
60 min impact subs.
RLC., Lemina, Kamara.

Maidstone Lee

Think we need to be really attack minded on Saturday and revert to 4 at the bank;

             Areola

Tete Anderson Tosin Robinson

      Anguissa Lemina

Reid         RLC       Lookman

            Mitrovic

Stand up if you still believe!

For me, back 4 and try Bobby DR in the central striking position. Little difference to me if Cav, RLC or Kebano on right of attack. I don't think it's the game for Mitro as we'll get more out of speed on the ground than aerial power. If we're under the cosh for periods of the game, Harrison Reed can slot in the back 4 to add bodies to the defence

Areola

Tete, Andersen, Tosin, Robinson

Reed, Anguissa, Lemina

Cav, BDR, Lookman

Areola
Aina - Andersen - Tosin
Tete - Anguissa - Reed - Robinson
Decordova-Reid - Mitrovic - Lookman

This team with the following instructions:
Aina and Tosin to be allowed to step forward alternately as we attack

Mitro surrounded by pace - to be told to stay within the width of the penalty area

When Tete or Robinson have it wide, the three front men go near post, far post, penalty spot. The other full back available for over hit cross and Anguissa/Reed edge of the area.

BDCR and Lookman to run in behind off the shoulder. Mitro will drop and link, no need for them to.

Drop Aina I think. He was shocking last night

He had a very dodgy 25 mins at the end of the first half, but second half defensively he was excellent and won a huge amount of headers.
He saved us a point with his last minute block too.
I've been impressed with him the last 10 games or so.

Lordedmundo

I think we have to pick the best eleven and then a formation that suits them. So, I would go with 433 which has Lemina as the extra man in the middle to allow Anguissa to break forward and the best front three in terms of goal scoring capability:

Areola

Tete
Andersen
Tosin
Robinson

Reed
Lemina
Anguissa

Reid
Mitrovic
Lookman

Aina unlucky to be dropped, but he can potentially replacing a tiring Tete. Plus RLC to replace Lemina if we need an extra man breaking forward in the middle.

I think we should only revert back to 5 at the back when we will need to play counterattcking football (in other words against top 6 sides and possibly Everton and Arsenal).  It could also be useful when defending a lead in the last 10-15mins...

TC's Sporran

west broms recent home record
0-5
0-4
0-5
0-3
1-5

might be worth getting some shooting practice in?

Hopefully Mitrovic starts.
Minority here but I do think Loftus-Cheek wins headers and can hold the ball up front. Something BDR can't.

So I understand Robinson can play?

                     Areola

      Aina        Andersen      Tosin

Tete        Anguissa     Reed    Robinson

             RLC             Lookman

                    Mitrovic

Is a dream a lie if it don't come true?

MrFFC

Pointless doing a team with no Loftus Cheek in it as he will always be starting

For me Robinson for Cav will be the only change we make but I would start Mitrovic just don't think Parker will
Come on you Whites!! :)

VamosFFC

Is Robinson actually available? He's out for three matches and we've only played two league matches as the Burnley match was the FA Cup. Or, does it not matter and it's any three matches?

Ok, this might be the ramblings of a madman but here goes.

First, I admit I messed up in my last lineup pick with including Anderson.  Forgot he was still on a red card suspension.  Exclude that I was pretty spot on with Parker's pick for Brighton.

I like Denver Fulham's lineup of a 4-2-3-1.  It is one of my preferred formations for youth football coaching as it is a very flexible and can be become very attack minded while still providing adequate defense.

The one thing for me is that I really, really was not impressed with RLC and Anguissa in the Brighton match.  For that matter I wasn't impressed with Cav either who I really love as a player.  So, the question is then who would I pick to replace them.

While I would prefer to go with a very attack minded formation of 4-3-3, I think because we are at West Brom (though without fans in the stands does it really matter) I would stick with Denver Fulham's 4-2-3-1 formation with a few tweaks.  I would go with this instead....

I know dropping Harrison Reed is harsh as he has had some fantastic performances of late.  I just agree with other that Lemina is more attack minded while also being able to help with the defense.  Again, I would drop Anguissa and add Tete instead for the same reason that I put in Lemina.  Both really like to get forward in the attack while offering defensive options.  That's a big plus for me right now.

As far as support for Mitro which I absolutely hope Parker plays, I want more attack minded players that look to connect and make things happen in the final third.  So, to make that happen I would go with Lookman, Kebano and Bobby Reid.

Anyway, here is to hope for all three points regardless of what Parker picks.   049:gif 049:gif 049:gif

Anyone can blend into the crowd.  How will you standout when it counts?

Sorry but that looks like a team heading for defeat.

I'd go with this team too.

Scrap the back 5. It isn't conducive to what we need right now and that's wins.

Agreed.

Back 4 and Mitro starting please
I hope we play this team

MrFFC

Loftus Cheek is going to play so all these teams without him in are pointless as he will start

For me

                     Areola

Tete      Andersen    Tosin     Robinson

              Lemina   Anguissa

  BDR              RLC           Lookman

                       Mitro

Subs - Rodak Ream Aina Bryan Reed Onomah Kebano Cavaleiro Kamara

Reed hasn't done anything wrong think he's been quality but Lemina will help get the ball forward quicker

Robinson is now available for Saturday.
Red cards apparently count across all competitions.
So he has now missed his 3 games, 2 x league + 1 x cup..

I'd have this team but change BDR for Tete as he's more attacking

clarkey

Yes Robinson can play. Three game ban. Done.

Bobby has to play as does Anguissa, only changes should be Tete stands down for Robinson, Cav and RLC out and Bobby moves up and Mitro starts. Then we have a decent chance of actually scoring a goal or two.Bobby has to play as we need goals...he will provide something up top along side Lookman. Just getting Cav off the pitch will improve our chances...we literally could have ten men and it would be better.

Ideally we score, lead and do not shut up shop but try and get a few more.Good luck, if we don't win tomorrow then when do we ? COYW !

My team would be as follows for the starting 11
I would change to a flat back 4, cannot afford to play Aina, he is a week link at the back, his positional sense is poor at this level and his distribution is worse than Tim Reams.
A toss of the coin between Reed and Lemina.
Plus we need to score goals which means support for the front line everytime we are in possession.
That way we have two outlets when winning the ball back, Lookman and BDR on each side.
Leave Lookman to attack the right full back getting round the back of their defence.

                          Areola

Tete       Anderson.     Tosin.         Robinson

BDR.     Zambo.         Reed.        Lookman

                         RLC

                        Mitro

Subs
Rodak, Bryan, Lemina, Kebano, Kamara. Cavalero, Onomah,   Last 2 subs from Ream, Hector or Aina.
