Potential International call ups

With the international break coming soon it looks like several of the first team squad will get call ups.  While I wish all the players well, I am more worried about potential problems for the first team players that could have a big role with Fulham and the remainder of the season.  Problems like potential injuries or sicknesses.  Fingers crossed and all of that other superstitious mumbo jumbo that can be used to keep the players healthy and fit.

Areola - France – Potentially

Andersen - Denmark - Confirmed

Tosin – England – No

Tete - Netherlands - Likely

Robinson - USA  - Likely

Aina - Nigeria - Likely

Lemina - Gabon - Likely

Zambo - Cameroon - Likely

Reed - England - Probably not

RLC - England - No

Cavaleiro - Portugal - No

Maja - Nigeria - Likely

Mitro - Serbia - Likely

Bdr - Jamiaca - Yes

Lookman - England/Nigeria - England No - Could he still play for Nigeria???
Anyone can blend into the crowd.  How will you standout when it counts?

Due to travel restrictions can the Club refuse to release players if they are required to go into quarantine on their return? If yes will we do it?

This is a vital question.  The chance of a player getting injured is obviously there but the certainty of losing a player for 2 or 3 matches if he has to quarantine is far more worrying.

I think as they are classified as elite athletes they do not have to quarantine on their return. Non of the UK based players had to quarantine after the recent Champions League matches.

They will be leaving the FFC first team bubble and will have to be tested 2-3 times after they return.  Only if one of those tests comes up positive would they have to quarantine.  Let's hope that the various international teams are able to maintain a fully bio-secure environment!

International football should have been suspended until it is safe. Waste of time and energy. In normal circumstances it is  a nice sideshow but we are not living in normal times.  Just saying.

These are just friendlies - should not be going ahead.

Fully agree. Forget Covid tests the priority must be to examine the heads of the authorities for allowing these insignificant matches involving world wide travel to go ahead.
