Have suspended a first team player pending a police investigation.

Rumours are its for child sex offences and the player involved is an international player. I'm not putting his name here for obvious reasons.
Pretty vile behaviour though if true.

It's definitely leaked all over Twitter, and indeed was a rumour a few weeks ago so it does look pretty grim.

But those saying we shouldn't jump to conclusions etc are of course 100% right.

A Premier League footballer has been arrested on suspicion of child sex offences.

The 31-year-old man, who has not been named for legal reasons, was detained on Friday by Greater Manchester Police.

In a statement, the player's club confirmed he had been suspended and added it would "continue supporting the authorities with inquiries and would not be commenting further".

The footballer has since been bailed pending further inquiries.

Someone has named someone that has been connected to the crime. They shouldn't because that person might be totally innocent. If guilty, it'll be common knowledge anyway.
