An occasional series of very boring facts about the Championship and our 23 opponents.

Our record this century against Huddersfield is very impressive (W10 D2 L1, GF 30, GA 9).

All but four of our 42 league games against Millwall have been in the second tier of English football, where our record against them is W18 D10 L10.

Our first ever game in the Football League was against Hull City at home on 3rd September 1907. We lost 1-0.

In the 1927/28 season we lost 5-1 at home and away against Stoke City, the only time we have lost 5-1 twice in the league against the same opponent in the same season.

Blackpool are the only team we have played in 100 or more league games (W35, D31, L36). In league games against them we have only lost once in the last 17 games (W11, D5, L1).

Penfold

I believe that a Millwall v Fulham game in the 1970s was the first Football League fixture on a Sunday?
