Sean O'DRISCOLL will snub Sheffield United – because he is the red-hot favourite to step in at Nottingham Forest.

The in-demand Doncaster boss turned down the Blades post after being given permission to speak to them last week.

But O'Driscoll is unlikely to say 'no thanks' if the City Ground job comes up in the near future.

O'Driscoll snubbed Burnley a year ago and was equally reluctant to take on Sheffield United's financial problems.

But Forest is the kind of 'big' club he would relish controlling and he may get the chance if Billy Davies fails to turn round a disappointing campaign.

Goalkeeper Neil Sullivan could then be a surprise choice as the next Donny boss.
