YES, but if they tried harder then if promoted to the PL, they would get more money, so what is there problem....complacency?

Yep, we accumulate players too crap for the Premier League. That is our niche. We pay a premium for these players rather than building something, which is why we yo yo. It gives us a bit of success, but isn't the foundation for real success.

A bit of perspective.
The players are very talented which is why they are able to compete in the Championship, a notoriously tough league. I do agree though that the recruitment model wasn't perfect in the past which is why we are stuck with a number of players in the squad who will never cut it in the Premier League. And yes we did pay a premium for those players. But there are others who are paid the going rate for the division. It wasn't a great watch today and it's impossible to say how the game would have panned out if Gazza, Ream and Onomah hadn't messed up for the first Coventry goal. As for the penalty, well we all know it was a referee/lino error. After that the players just lost it and the rest is history. It was a second half to forget.
I can only hope that we put it behind us and respond in the way Coventry did after their thrashing in midweek and that QPR suffer something similar in a fortnight. A big couple of weeks for Silva to galvanise the troops.
