I'd snatch your hand off to finish in 2nd - we need automatics - my heart can't take playoffs again, although a trip and victory at Wembley, well there's nothing like it. We absolutely have a team that can win the Championship title, but if offered right now, I'd happily take second.
Someone once asked me, "Why Fulham?".
My response, "Well, lad, you just haven't seen the light yet"

I'd have to say, with the squad we have and how we've been playing, we should really have won every game bar one.
The game we lost v Reading was very one sided, the game v Blackpool they scored with their only chance on target (and it was very preventable) and the draw with Bristol City we hit the woodwork 3 times and i could see from the other end that their goal was offside.

If we continue playing as we are, I am pretty sure we'll be in the top 2 at the end of the season. Beating W Brom will of course help open a little gap too.

Champions....none of your 2nd place cobbler's - plus I want the FA Cup, and The Owen Trophy

I'd take second but it will be hard to stomach if Bournemouth win the title.

Champions and we'll win it against Bournemouth with the last two matches still to play :54: COYW's

Bournemouth look good, but the big question relating to Scott Parker is 'is there a plan B when they hit an inevitable rough patch'.
My guess is no as there was never a plan B at Fulham,  meaning we've got a decent chance of catching Bournemouth and becoming champions.

For all the hype around Bournemouth they're only 5 points ahead and if they draw just three games where we win instead (so not them even losing), we go ahead of them. If they lose one and draw one we could also go ahead of them.

The quality difference between the two sides isn't evidenced properly yet, but it'll be closer than some on their site seem to think.

I do want automatics though. Playoff wins get boring after a few as they're just celebrating going back to the same place and also aren't guaranteed wins.

Marco to buy one more player for Christmas who will put the tin lid on it for us.

1st or 2nd I don't mind .... for me it is all about goals this season.
I need us to score 100+ goals.... we are slightly ahead of the curve atm... needed 33 goals after 15 games....  hit this level 3 times resulting in 1 goal needed from our final game.
The odds have tumbled from 300/1 to 5/1..... If any team can do it this season ... then it's us..

We are current on track for 95 points (based on 29 points in 14 games). I expect one of Bournemouth or WBA (but no other team) might get more than that, but there is no way both will get more than 95 points.

95 points = Automatic Promotion with a game or two spare. Macro Silva job is to get us to 95 points, and if that doesn't get as promoted I'll be shocked.

Don't care if we're second and B'mouth first, better than the play offs - though that is better than  nothing.

But second and automatic would be great for me.
Play-offs - nerve  wracking.

Make it a pacey winger and flog Knockaert.

Fulham 442

I wonder what Silva's plans are for the January transfer window?  We need to strengthen, especially in defence, to stand a chance of staying up this time around.  That is more important for me than if we finish first or second.   The gulf between the Championship and the Prem is getting bigger every season.  You only have to look how Norwich, last season's champions,  are doing...2 points so far, completely out of their depth and nailed on for relegation.  I don't want that to happen to us....

I wouldn't be a true fan if I didnt WANT us to finish champions. However, the sensible side of me knows it isn't going to be as clear cut as that. I can see us finishing top two, we SHOULD finish top two fairly easily. But Fulham being Fulham we'll probably miss out on automatics by a point or a goal which was a dodgy penalty in the final run in.

Keane Lewis-Potter for 12m? or Siriki Dembélé for about a quarter of that?
