NFR - Airlines?

Thinking of travelling into Europe over Xmas, looking at going late December, coming back just after new year.

Looking at using Ryan Air, however, wanted to know where I stand in regards to refunds etc, if the flights are cancelled a) because we go into another lockdown b) visiting country goes into lockdown c) Ryan Air cancel.

Heard Ryan Air only issue vouchers for future flights, which is ok, but, when flying over Xmas, the flight's are a lot more expensive, almost £500, rather than say the normal £120.

If so, that's a hell of a lot of vouchers to use up, where in normal circumstances, I probably wouldn't spend that much travelling.

Anyone know where I'd stand on this?

PS: Information on flights / Ryan Air only please, really don't want to get political with COVID / Lockdown or Government issues.

Thanks in advance,

Jim.

Pay by Credit Card, I think that should cover you if you need to do a Section 75 claim against an airline (check with your card provider, get written confirmation from them that is the case).

Just a thought, try a flight broker or get a covid travel insurance policy....but truly I have no idea

Would rather pay more and go with another airline.

Understand your point re vouchers. I had so many vouchers from 2020 that in the end it's difficult to keep up with what you have. Still have BA vouchers to use two years on.

I avoid Ryanair whenever possible.
