We are one of many clubs looking at signing Jason Adigun from Charlton according to Football League World.

I've never heard of him, but given that he appears to be 16, it is one of the reasons I don't complain too bitterly when we lose our brightest young talents to Liverpool, Man City etc. It's the food chain and will remain this way until we are on the same level as the big players. We got Stansfield from Exeter City, Woodrow from Luton, Roberts from Wimbledon, Burn from Darlington etc.

Looks like Andy Carroll having medical at WBA today according to Sky Sports Transfer Talk.

That sounds like a good fit to me and one that could bring them right back into the promotion race.

Yep, he's perfect for the way that they play- physical, loads of high balls into the area. Could be a very good signing for them.

Good target man but they will have to alter the way they play as they like to press high and he won't do that.

Exactly what my thoughts were, as he proved against us, he still has a lot to offer, and just what they need.

This is so true, no good moaning about our players being pinched when we go and do it further down. The frustration is transfer fees, if like Southampton we were getting big money for these departures, then it all works

Rooney has said that the administrators have ruled out a sale for Derby captain Lawrence, which puts an end to that rumour.

Journos still reporting that Liverpool would buy Fab this month if we're open to a sale... Which hopefully we're not!

The Intertoto might not exist anymore, but that doesn't matter. We'll still win it again.

Jules

Newcastle in for Dan Burn according to the Telegraph

"Rooney has said that the administrators have ruled out a sale for Derby captain Lawrence, which puts an end to that rumour."

Rooney is also reported on the BBC website to have been approached for interview by Everton but to have turned the invite down as he wanted to stay and help sort out Derby's problems.

If the report is right he goes up hugely in my estimation and hope he succeeds in keeping Derby up.

Correct.
You'd  have thought he would have jumped at the chance to manage his boyhood club....Fair play to him.

Amazed at that and find it hard to believe, thought he would have jumped at the Everton job unless of course he is waiting for Man.U. to come knocking.

I think from Rooneys perspective, it was for an interview and Everton seem to be approaching a lot to interview. If it was known he did that and didn't get the job, then could ruin this siege mentality that Derby seem to have - think it might be a different response if he was offered the job!

Finnans Right Peg

It also gives his derby players a real boost going into the next few games

He is probably thinking about his reputation and not wanting to be involved with a club that's in a right mess. Staying at Derby is a no lose situation for him. Keep them up and he's a hero, if they go down he will have done a heroic job in trying to keep them up and his stock is on the up.

Fulham are working on numerous deals so far I believe up to 5, various wingers and CDM's. Fulham hoping to bring in 2 of those 5 by the deadline. It is dependent on Kongolo and Knockaert going out
